Once again, we will pass on the ship of this set which I do not particularly appreciate.
Side minifigs, there are good and much less good.
The minifig star of this set is Darth Maul. He looks great with his thorns on his skull.
The face is well stylized, we can guess the Sith, no doubt about it.
The face is well stylized, we can guess the Sith, no doubt about it.
I would have liked the torso to be a bit more dressy, and let's go crazy, that the legs were also printed.
Note that the thorn top is removable and that the traditional Darth Maul hood is provided.
The other minifigure that highlights this set is the famous Captain Panaka. The dressing is consistent, the colors are homogeneous, the face as well.
The cap seems a little too cartoonish to me, I would have liked it more angular, less "soft hat". But despite everything this minifigure is a success.
Let's move on to what annoys: padme.
I don't quite know what the intention was with this retro looking minifigure and colors.
The face is appallingly silly, the hair is a "brown" color, and the black legs / blue and gray tunic ensemble is miserable and in bad taste.

In short, this is not the time that Natalie Portman can be proud of her plastic representation. Qui Gon Jinn is equally distressing, with his mustached biker side, beard collar and slicked back hair.

We are not going to go back to the ship itself, neither good nor bad, almost exact copy of the set 7665 (Republic Cruiser) released in 2007. The minifigs provided unleash passions on the forums. In good and bad way ....
Eeth Koth et quinlan you are not the most popular of AFOLs, their cartoon side is undoubtedly for a lot.
Personally, I find it hard to appreciate these two minifigs, they are overloaded with their print and their accessories, and one could almost doubt their belonging to the Clone Wars universe. Not to mention their look really too different from what we know in terms of minifigs. Too many details, and the charm of the minifigure gets the hell out of it ....
As for Yoda, we will not dwell on it, it would be a sacrilege. LEGO could make it apple green, Yoda would stay Yoda ....
The real interest of this set undoubtedly lies in the two clones delivered. Order Wolffe and Clone Troopers live up to our expectations.
No more garish red or flashy orange, here is a beautiful blue, sober and discreet.
The print of these two minifigs is exceptional, the legs are well dressed and the blue is smartly distributed over the finely detailed torsos and helmets.
Two beautiful minifigs which I already predict a bright future on eBay and Bricklink with all those who will want to create a few armies ...

This is without a doubt my favorite set from this batch of 2011. The minifigs are exceptional.
Sebulba has benefited from a beautiful treatment, the minifigure is pleasantly decorated, and finally looks like the character of the film.
In addition, it is finally articulated like a real minifig unlike the previous model of the set 7171 (Mos Espa Podrace).
We can finally consider it as a full-fledged minifigure and not as a piece of plastic which one wonders what it does in the bag ...
The face is well detailed, the glasses are present and the colors are more or less faithful.
The other minifigure that delights me is that of watt. The color is correct, the dressing is detailed and the dress respects that of the film. the reagrd is at the same time jaded and haughty, that corresponds to the character.
Forest et Obi-Wan are correct, but not stunning. Obi-Wan disappoints me a bit with his cartoonish face once again.
Anakin is successful, I love the childish look and the fighter's smirk with his racing glasses and his well decorated helmet. Again, the face is double-sided.

If the Falcon is not unanimous, the minifigs delivered with the set 7965 seem to delight more fans.
Luke comes in a two-face version, one of which is of particular interest to us: This is the face fitted with the "BlastVisor" and the training helmet.
This double-sided face minifig also comes with new hair for Luke, more modern and less smooth.
The print on the torso and legs is completely consistent and the whole is homogeneous. the two parts come together well and create a real dress up of the minifigure.
For its part, the minifig of Read is quite disappointing: The hair seems nicer to me than the more classic one we have known so far.
On the other hand, the dressing of the minifigure is unsurprising, simplistic torso, white legs and a little silly face despite the added pupils and the excess of lipstick.
Han Solo, Darth Vader et Obi-Wan Kenobi are rather "classic". Han enjoys a print that looks the best on the legs, the face is simplistic but correct, the hair is a little too smooth. They would have deserved a more natural treatment like Luke's.
Obi-Wan sports a face that is not necessarily very successful. The pupils again accentuate the cartoon side of this serious character.
Darth Vader remains classic, but after all, difficult to make him "cartoon", the character does not call for sympathy.

On the occasion of this Toy Fair 2011, LEGO presented licensed products, including display bricks for the collectible minifig series, storage lockers and "heads", new watches, and new saddlebags. transport.
A priori, 3 models of storage bricks for minifigs are planned, a blue version with 8 slots, a yellow version with 8 or 16 slots and a red model with 16 slots which can therefore contain a complete series.
