7956Well, we can't say that this set is a revolution in itself.
Collectors of minifigs will find something to do with Tokkat and Logray, two Ewoks not really successful for my taste (But although more elaborate than those in the set 7139 (Ewok Attack) from 2002, but which reminds me of the feeling I had when I first saw these critters in the movie They Are Scary.
More seriously, the two cubs are arbitrary to my taste and the tower / catapult will advantageously complete the set 8038 (The Battle of Endor) for a coherent diorama.
Not much more to say about this semblance of "Ewok Battle Pack".

7965Another Falcon .... But this one is starting to really please me with this enticing visual.
The structure is classic and already seen in the set 4504 which it is very close at first glance. So much the better, I prefer to forget the 7190 ....
To see if the gameplay will be there, but the upper panels of the structure are articulated, which should allow the interior to be used as a playing surface.
The minifigs provided are to match, Chewbacca, Obi-wan Kenobi, Leia Organa and Han Solo are classic remakes of the minfigs already released. Luke sports trendy hair, which not everyone likes, but Mark Hamill didn't have brush hair either ....
I still wonder what will be the price of this set, which will quickly become a must for all those who came to the collection of LEGO Star Wars sets late in the day and missed the sets. 4504 (Millennium Falcon), 7190 (Millennium Falcon) et 10179 (Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon).

They will find here something to satisfy their Falcon desires, other than with the successful but simplistic 7778 (Mid-scale Millennium Falcon).

7957On EuroBricks, we finally learn instead of the name announced as "Dathomir Speeder", the June 2001 set will be called (Subject to modification, we never know with TLC ...) "Sith Nightspeeder".
We find there the planned minifigs namely: Asajj Ventress (Ugly and especially difficult to recognize for those who have seen the animated series), Savage Opress (Really not bad) and yet another minifig of Anakin Skywalker.
The speeder itself leaves me skeptical, let's just hope that the patterns are screen printed and not in the form of stickers .....
Savage Opress's saber appears to be the most standard thing, unlike the one seen in the video game on the Starwars.com site.
In short, a set without panache, but which will have the merit of providing us with a very well done Savage Opress, the rest being barely passable .....

06/02/2011 - 10:48 Minifigure Series
series5Live from the "Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair 2011" in Nurnberg, Germany, here is a slew of images from the series 5 of minifigures to collect, including a video finally revealing the different characters.
Don't ask me for the color of the bag (take a good look at the video, it's blue), there are forums where you will find people spending hours discussing it ... and to tell the truth, I don't care more than this.
In the video you will also discover the 4 series of collectible minifigures and the new LEGO Alien Conquest line, which is very "Mars Attack".

Click on the image on the left to display an enlarged view.

(I extracted the images from the video, they are better than the view currently circling all over the forums.)

05/02/2011 - 17:50 MOCs
creatorThere are people who have ideas: Legostein from the Eurobricks forum is one of them.

From the Creator 6741 (Mini Jet) set, he improvised two original mini MOCs despite the limitations of the set and the number of pieces available (63).

So I let you discover these two original creations: The Republic Cruiser "Radiant VII" seen in episode I The Phantom Menace, and the A-Wing Starfighter seen in episode VI Return of the Jedi.
Visuals and assembly instructions for the Republic Cruiser are available at this page.
Visuals and building instructions for the A-Wing Starfighter are available at this page.
The discussion page about these two mini MOCs can be found on Eurobricks.
