new minifigs bigSeen on EuroBricks, a forumer (Navy Trooper Fenson) posted on his flickr gallery fairly good quality photos of the upcoming minifigs with sets planned for June 2011.

My first impressions are pretty good (Click on the name of the characters or on the overall visual on the left to access the photos):

The minifigs Watto, Wald and Sebulba of set 7962 (Sebulbas & Anakins Podracers) seem really successful.

They will replace advantageously those released a few years ago. Sebulba is very realistic and conforms to the character of the films.
Watto's blue colourway is surprising but true to character after all.
The minifig padme set 7961 ((Darth Maul Sith Infiltrator) is nice, without really paying homage to the character seen in the movies. She sports that goofy look and hairstyle that's faithful but misinterpreted to my liking again.
Le Darth Maul of set 7961 (Darth Maul Sith Infiltrator) is successful, the head is innovative, just like that of Savage opress from set 7957 (Dathomir Speeder). Finally, a Darth Maul without a hood. Savage Opress has epaulettes of the most beautiful effect.
Captain panaka of set 7961 (Darth Maul Sith Infiltrator) is very / too "cartoonish" for my taste, but again, the cap is difficult to replicate. The uniform is simplistic too.
Luke Skywalker of set 7964 (Millennium Falcon) is very successful both in terms of hold and hair.
Le Geonosian Pilot of set 7959 (Geonosian Starfighter) is nice, well dressed and the head is original, just like Ki-Adi-Mundi of the same set.
The Ewok and Logray of set 7956 (Ewok Attack) are moderately successful, but it is difficult to reproduce an Ewok correctly in minifig. The green color of the Ewok is a bit violent and mixes badly with the black body and the orange arc. Logray is more consistent when it comes to colors.
quinlan you of set 7963 (Republic Frigate) is also very "cartoon", just like Eeth Koth. THE Clone Troopers et Order Wolffe are well reproduced.
We can feel the inspiration of the animated series The Clone Wars.
Overall, these minifigs from June 2011 form a not necessarily coherent mix between those of the films and those from the animated series.
The "cartoon" inspiration is very present, but I must admit that I am more a fan of minifigs inspired by the movies. No doubt a question of generation.
Younger people will probably be more attracted to a Quinlan Vos or a Savage Opress, than to Han Solo or Obi-Wan Kenobi. It's normal after all.

belliesSeen on FBTB, here is an original and truly innovative MOC which reproduces the spaceship of Asajj Ventress seen in the 12th episode of season 3 of the animated series The Clone Wars.
The replica is faithful to the original, the colors are respected and this ship even has functions allowing the folding of the wings ...

lego education star wars ultimate lightsaber duelIn 2005, LEGO released several sets (7257, 7260, 7263 and 7261 in a first version later reissued without Mace Windu's light saber) with minifigs featuring LED light sabers, but after a few years the batteries powering these sabers lasers stop working, and many of us are wondering how to replace them without destroying the minifig ...

Fortunately LEGO no longer produces this type of minifig whose disassembly is not as easy as for the standard models.
The head, for example, cannot be removed.

In short, if you want to replace the batteries, you will have to be patient, and follow the video tutorial below.

postersmallYou have all seen this poster dating from 2009 celebrating the 10th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars range, printed in 15.000 copies and numbered. Some were able to get it, others would like to.
Don't trust sellers from Thailand or Hong Kong trying to sell you on eBay a bad photocopy color of this collector's poster.
Even for a few euros, it's really too expensive to pay for a reproduction.
Either treat yourself to the original, there are still some for 20 or 30 euros on eBay, or you take advantage of my kindness, you download the high definition file, and you manage to get it printed.
So if you want to have fun download the file below:
