8029I was in the process of updating my collection on Brickset with my latest acquisitions, when I came across the set 8029 Mini Snowspeeder.

No special mention on this set as indicated for example for the Set Mini 6968-1: Wookie Attack set.

After some research, it looks like this set was never actually marketed, despite the fact that we find the assembly instructions at LEGO in PDF format.

No trace on Bricklink either.

I find this snowspeeder quite successful, and if you have a few minutes, dig into your rooms and build this gear that is worth checking out.

Then you can add it shamefully to your Brickset collection, as 90 people have already done, which had also misled me, on the reality of the marketing of this set.

However, if you got your hands on this set with its original packaging, let me know and I will apologize to you ......

bricklinkIf like me, you like to collect LEGO Star Wars with their box and instructions, but you can't always spend a few hundred dollars to have a complete set on eBay, there is another solution which can be economical and quite satisfactory:

1. You find on eBay a set sold "dry" but a priori complete, without box or instructions. Usually sellers offer them much cheaper.

2. You go to Bricklink to locate the corresponding box sold alone by searching in this category. A box in good condition is sold there for a few euros.

3. You are also looking for the only instruction booklet for sale in this category.

4. You calculate the total cost price of the whole, not forgetting the shipping costs applied by each seller. Always check if a seller does not offer several boxes or instructions that interest you (use the wanted list).

So you can recompose a set that interests you, complete and in good condition. Often, on eBay, you pay for the set to be sold with its box at a high price.

Regarding the possible stickers, you can possibly buy them at a good price on Bricklink. If the seller offers them, they are in the "Parts" category then "Sticker".

Be careful, this buying technique is not always profitable depending on the value of the set and its rarity.
I was able to add to my collection a few sets that were very heavily overpriced without leaving too many feathers (euros).

Regarding the stickers, I started to buy some from a few sellers who offer them at a fair price, and I will soon post the scans of the most interesting boards online. The ones I found here and there are not necessarily always of good quality, especially for UCS.

willisauThe Competec group, specialized in the distribution of computer products, and incidentally one of the suppliers of the box in which I work, has just officially announced that it has bought the group's factory.

oppressWell, as we do with what we have, we can be satisfied with this visual of the new minifigure of Savage Opress which is unlocked on the site http://legostarwars.com/ by typing enter after the two loading steps and by entering the following secret code OPPRESSIVEMAUL.

If we consider that the other virtual characters are very close to their plastic version, this visual takes all its interest.

Note the handle of the lightsaber which seems different from the models we know.

This minifigure will be delivered in the 7957 Dathomir Speeder set which is due out in June 2011.

2011Brickset was at the London Toy Fair 2011, and publishes an interesting account of their visit to the LEGO stand.
Regarding the products of the expected Star Wars range, no scoop. The advent calendar is confirmed and should be full of surprises, with among others several mini models and 8 minifigs including a new one, and the next sets that everyone has déjà vu should live up to expectations.
According to Brickset, the new Sebulba and Watto minifigs have been reinterpreted quite well (It's not that hard for Sebulba, the existing minifig being just awful), and the pods have been widely revised and improved. The new minifigs by Darth Maul and Savage Opress are a priori successful, but the new Millenium Falcon seems to have disappointed (perhaps too close to 4504).

In short, nothing new, no images, but it's always good to have the impressions of people who have seen (with their eyes seen ...) the next sets.
