LEGO has put the five boxes of the Mickey & Friends range online on the official store and this series of small sets stamped 4+ at the usual very high public prices will allow collectors to bring together some pretty minifigs with variations of Mickey and Minnie in different outfits, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto.

Those who moan about the price of the Disney collectible minifig sachets will be at their expense, it will be necessary to pay here more than 130 € to bring together the 11 proposed figurines or wait for these sets to be on sale somewhere to limit the breakage.

Amazon has put online several of the boxes expected from June 1 in the LEGO Marvel "Infinity Saga" range, so we get some official visuals of these boxes as well as the official descriptions of these different products.

Some of these boxes are for the moment simply listed without price displayed, it will be necessary to wait a few days for the brand to complete the sheets. Do not take too much into account the price displayed for three of these five boxes, Amazon usually inflates its prices while waiting for the pre-order or the official availability of the sets concerned.

Today we are quickly interested in the LEGO Speed ​​Champions set 76905 Ford GT Heritage Edition and Bronco R, a box of 660 pieces which will be available from June 1st at the public price of 49.99 €. On the menu, two Ford brand vehicles with on one side the imposing prototype of the Bronco R in Baja Racer version and on the other the classic GT in Heritage Edition Gulf version to pay tribute to the victories of the brand at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1968 and 1969.

It is in my opinion one of the most successful boxes of the 2021 wave, with two very different models, some beautiful construction techniques to discover over the pages of the two booklets provided and the arrival of pad-printed headlights on the GT . This is undoubtedly a detail for some, but seeing LEGO take into account the many comments made about headlights based on stickers on certain models and finally make the effort to padprint these elements is a real (r) evolution.

The LEGO version of the Ford Bronco does honorably with a vehicle that is a bit angular in places but allows us to add something different to our collections. The essential stickers provide solutions when the rooms are no longer capable of creating an illusion and the result is generally satisfactory.

Some stickers are almost missing on the gray elements of the body, they stand out for their neutral surface and the widening of the front fenders would perhaps have benefited from being drowned in a few patterns to soften the slightly brutal slope that stands out. .

No suspensions on this big 4x4, but that's not the point of this line of collectible "small cars". Everything is in the look of these different vehicles with some of them a real pleasure to take during the assembly phase. This is the case here, we take a bit of the solutions usually used in this range with a raised chassis and a simple body but which calls for a few well-thought-out sub-assemblies which will entertain the fan.

Only the cabin with its slightly messy blue roll bars seems to me a cut below the rest, but the designer all the same made the effort to integrate them as best as possible to match the look of the reference vehicle. The two side uprights of the windshield are not connected to the roof, they will have to be positioned correctly to obtain an acceptable rendering. We can also regret the absence of the windshield itself.

The Bronco remains a little fragile in places with for example "doors" whose gray parts will easily come off during handling. The younger ones may get annoyed by seeing the thing rebuilt, those who knew the Gyro Jets in the 80s may smile nostalgically.

The LEGO version of the GT that accompanies the Bronco in this box does not inherit the orange Brembo brake calipers present on the reference vehicle and the hubcaps used are a little minimalist but it also does quite honorably.

We do not really get the graceful curves of the reference vehicle on arrival and it is mainly the fault of the generic canopy which distorts the whole a little by reducing it almost to a banal supercar which will have a little trouble. stand out in the midst of everything the LEGO Speed ​​Champions range offers us each year. There are still a few iconic attributes of the benchmark vehicle to save the furniture and the stickers do the rest.

The angles of the cabin are very well managed and LEGO gives us two metallic mirrors even if the steering wheel is once again offset from the driver. This Ford GT in the colors of the American lubricant manufacturer Gulf bears the number 6, that of the crew composed of Jackie Ickx and Jackie Oliver victorious at Le Mans in 1969. The wheels of the GT are in one piece, the tires slick. Low waist are injected directly onto the silver rims, visually it works pretty well once the new hubcaps are in place.

As I said above, the headlights at the front of the vehicle are pad printed with a very nice pattern spread over two elements which really gives the model character. It was time. With the exception of the headlights and the canopy, the rest of the trim is based on stickers whose background color does not perfectly match that of the parts. It's a little better than in other sets but it's not perfect yet.

The two supplied minifigs are correct with Shelby Hall driving the Ford Bronco R and a driver in the 1966 outfit already seen in 2017 in the set 75881 2016 Ford GT & 1966 Ford GT40. The only pad-printed version of the brand logo featured in this officially licensed product is therefore on the torso of the minifigs, not on the two vehicles. Each character comes with a hair that allows him to remove his helmet without looking silly, that's always taken for those who would like to display vehicles with their drivers next to it rather than in the cockpit.

In summary, even if the assembly of these two vehicles is almost more model making than anything else with a sticker every five stages of construction for the Bronco and a sticker every three stages for the GT, I think this box will please. to fans of the range with its two pretty models including a large 4x4 sufficiently detailed which changes us a bit from the usual supercars.
