The collaboration between LEGO and adidas continues with a new pair of sneakers that will be launched on April 8, 2021 at a price of 159.00 € at AsphaltGold or on thethe official adidas online store (160 €): the adidas X LEGO Ultraboost 4.0 DNA reference (FY7690).
No pre-order, you'll need to be there for launch on April 8 and sizes available range from 40 to 47 1/3.
Nothing has been left to chance for this new relatively sober product with the possibility of sliding a few pieces under the three transparent plastic side bands to personalize the sneakers, a pretty white box looking like LEGO bricks and a protective paper transformed for the occasion "in assembly instructions".
These sneakers are accompanied by a set of 144 flat 2x2 LEGO distributed in four colors (blue, red, green and yellow) and the description indicates that at least 40% of the materials used for the manufacture of these shoes come from the sectors of recycling.
This model seems a little more elegant to me than what the collaboration between LEGO and adidas has allowed us to achieve so far, the studs are relatively discreet and the customization of the side bands is optional. Why not.
Another novelty in the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man range referenced on the Shop: The set 76198 Spider-Man & Doctor Octopus Mech Battle with its 305 pieces, Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus minifigs, all sold at the retail price of € 19.99 from April 26th.
Nothing very exciting, the mechs are at the level of those sold individually since the start of the year in sets 76168 Captain America Mech Armor (€ 9.99), 76169 Thor Mech Armor (9.99 €) and 76171 Miles Morales Mech Armor (9.99 €) and we therefore get a 2in1 pack here.
The LEGO Marvel set 76187 Venom (565) is now online on the official store with availability announced for April 26 at the public price of € 59.99.
The construction of the less evil symbiote of two is here logically very close to that of the set LEGO Marvel 76199 Rampage (546 ) which will be available from May 1st at the public price of € 59.99.
The advantage with Venom is that we will escape the big handful of stickers to stick on Carnage's face. We will talk about these two boxes in more detail very soon.
Note that the film Venom: Let There Be Carnage was announced in theaters for the month of June 2021 but its release has been postponed to September. We will find on the screen Tom Hardy who already played Eddie Brock / Venom in the film released in 2018 and Woody Harrelson will take on the costume of Cletus Kasady / Carnage, a character introduced in the saga via a post-credits scene from the first film.
Note that the LEGO DC Comics sets 76180 Batman vs. The Joker: Batmobile Chase (136 - € 29.99), 76188 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile (345 - 39.99 €) and 76182 Batman Cowl (410 - 59.99 €) are now also listed on the official online store. These three boxes are announced for April 26th.
If you have no affinity with spacecraft and prefer to add a few minifigs to your collection of Marvel characters, know that the LEGO Marvel set 40454 Spider-Man vs Venom & Iron Venom is also now available on the official online store. In the box, 63 pieces and 4 minifigs, Spider-Man, Venom, Pork Grind and Iron Venom, for a public price set at 14.99 €.
This is the first appearance of Pork Grind, a member of the Swinester Six from theAniverse (Earth-8311), a parallel universe where everyone is an animal in which we also find Spider-Ham (Peter Porker), a character whose minifigure is delivered in the set 76151 Venomosaurus Ambush. The Pork Grind figure reuses Venom's torso.
The minifig of Iron Venom takes on its side the torso of the figurine seen in the set 76163 Venom Crawler (2020) but here it inherits a helmet with a superb new pad printing.
The Venom figurine is the one seen in the sets 76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom (2019) 76150 Spiderjet vs. Venom Mech (2020) et 76151 Venomosaurus Ambush (2020), that of Spider-Man with his pad-printed arms is already delivered in the sets 76172 Spider-Man and Sandman Showdown (2021), 76173 Spider-Man and Ghost Rider vs. Carnage (2021) et 76174 Spider-Man's Monster Truck vs. Mysterio (2021)
Those who have decided to bring together the "VIP Coins"offered as rewards by LEGO via the VIP program can as of today obtain the fourth of the five pieces announced with an object in the colors of the range Classic Space bearing the reference 5006468 LEGO Classic Space Coin. You have to exchange 1150 points (7.67 € in exchange) to obtain the code valid for 60 days to enter in the basket which allows you to add the precious reward to a next order.
Note that the collective display (ref. 5006473) which makes it possible to bring together the five planned pieces has not been available for a long time and that it will be necessary to be satisfied with individual packaging or to buy the item from someone who has been more far-sighted via the secondary market.
This new part joins the three other references already available: 5006472 LEGO Castle Corner, 5006471 LEGO Pirates Corner et 5006469 LEGO Team Octan Coin.
We also know that these products are not manufactured by LEGO, they are subcontracted to Chinese company RDP like the key rings already offered through the VIP program. The first reactions regarding the level of finish of the first two of the five collectable pieces were also very mixed. It's up to you.
