The LEGO catalog for retailers is available and those who have had access to the visuals (mostly preliminary) it contains report many details on the sets expected for January 2015 which will be stamped "Justice League"(logo on the box).

76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas : Gorilla Grodd is a bigfig. This set contains theInvisible Jet piloted by Wonder Woman, a mech / exoskeleton for Batman, Captain Cold and Flash.

76027 Black Manta Deep Sea Strike : This box contains a Bat-Sub, a shark, another underwater craft for Black Manta, Robin and Aquaman.

76028 Darkseid Invasion : This box contains a ship which should be the Javelin of the Justice League. Superman, Cyborg and Hawkman are in this set with a pilot for the Javelin.

76040 Brainiac Attack : Brainiac, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Supergirl and a module for Brainiac identical to the one seen on the cover of the game LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

It seems like the list of DC Comics sets planned for 2015 unveiled a few days ago was not quite complete: If we are to believe a comment posted at Brickset, the set 76040 Brainiac Attack should join the four other boxes planned for January 2015.

The person who describes this set, and who has probably had access to the retailer catalog which presents the preliminary visuals of the novelties, announces a spaceship in the shape of a flying saucer (the one from the LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham video game visible above?), and four minifigs: Superman, Supergirl, Martian Manhunter and Brainiac.

I remind you that all this information is to be taken conditional while waiting for official confirmation from the manufacturer or visuals, even preliminary, of the boxes concerned.

Here is a good big demo of what the LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham video game has in store for us with action, many characters (Batman, Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Firefly, Cheetah, Green Lantern, Flash, Cyborg, Luthor, Plastic Man, Killer Croc, Solomon Grundy, Bat-Mite, Bleez, Martian Manhunter, Atom, etc ...) and their many outfits and variations and a few more indications provided by Arthur Parsons, the Game Manager by TT Games.

Remember: The presence of members of the Legion of doom, the myriad of variations available for each character, many playable locations (Batcave, Hall of Justice, Lantern Worlds, Justice League Watchtower, Hall of Doom, Gotham City...)

Note that the game is already in pre-order at amazon (Click here to see all available versions) with an announced release date of December 19, 2014.

No trace for the moment at amazon of a special edition accompanied by an exclusive minifigure, but it will eventually arrive: It has been confirmed by Arthur Parsons [... a very special minifigure ...] who however refused to reveal the character in question ...

Warner Bros. confirms that a film featuring the Justice League full set is expected before the end of 2018, and Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) are expected to don their respective costumes again after the Batman vs. Superman announced for May 2016.

Zack SnyderMan of Steel, 300, Watchmen...) will be in the making of these next two films. The Hollywood Reporter even claims that the film Justice League could be boxed in the wake of Batman vs. Superman for a theatrical release that could be brought forward to 2017.

With any luck, new minifigs from Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, Flash, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern should hit shelves in the next waves of DC Comics sets ...

If LEGO continues its logic of products derived from Marvel and DC films, we should not expect a plethora of boxes, but three sets per film as is already the case for some Marvel or DC films released in 2012 and in 2013 or planned for 2014 (Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man 3, Man of Steel).

Alone Avengers had received seven boxes (counting the sets Ultrabuild Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk), all based on the film, in 2012. And it should also be remembered that LEGO does not systematically release several sets associated with a film: Nothing for Thor: The Dark World released in 2013 or Captain America: The Winter Soldier released this year and only one set for the last opus of the trilogy The Dark Knight in 2013.
