Today we take a quick look at the LEGO Star Wars set 75297 Resistor X-wing, a reference stamped "4+" which is aimed at the youngest fans of the franchise with its sixty pieces and its two characters.

There is not really much to philosophize about the contents of this small box sold for € 19.99, it offers an even more limited construction challenge than that of the set 75235 X-Wing Starfighter Trench Run (132 - € 29.99) marketed in 2019.

The X-wing to be assembled here has been simplified to the extreme to facilitate the task of the youngest and the overall aesthetic of the vessel does not come out enhanced, especially at the level of the cockpit with its a little ridiculous canopy or the back which looks like cut clean. Looks like a bit of a failed Microfighter.

Everything is assembled in three minutes flat, there are no stickers the wings must be unfolded / folded by hand. Fans of the Classic Space universe will perhaps find something to their liking with some pad-printed pieces that could be integrated into a personal creation on this theme. It will be noted in passing that the blue printed on the parts of the fuselage is not that of the other blue parts tinted in the mass.

Two characters are provided in this box: Poe Dameron and BB-8. The little droid has become a chestnut tree in the LEGO Star Wars range, you must already have at least one in your drawers.

Poe Dameron's minifigure is identical to the one seen in 2016 in the set 75149 Resistance X-Wing Fighter (740 - 99.99 €). It retains the torso and helmet of the 2016 minifigure, down to the last detail, but the two elements are here decked out with new references.

So we can't really speak of an "new" or "exclusive" minifigure, it is simply an update with perhaps a little more finesse in certain features. The problem of color difference between the flesh color of the head and that of the neck area pad-printed on the torso has not been resolved in 5 years. The head of Poe Dameron is the one used in all boxes since 2015, we can not blame LEGO for trying to maintain a certain consistency in the appearance of the character over the years and derivative products.

In short, if you already have a copy of the set on hand 75149 Resistance X-Wing Fighter, you have no valid reason to spend € 20 in this little box. Poe Dameron's minifigure is the same in both sets and it will hardly be that ultra-complete collectors to consider the 2021 version as "unseen" due to the use of different production references.

Room Copenhagen, the Danish design studio that markets countless LEGO licensed products, has uploaded the Brick Scooper, a kind of plastic shovel without a handle that should revolutionize the collection of bricks. Or not. Even better, two shovels of different dimensions will be provided.

We do not yet know the price of this set of two ABS plastic shovels under official license but we know that the manufacturer has planned to decline this product in two references in different colors and that an official brick separator will be provided. The future is on the move.

While we're at it, if you have any specific techniques or props for picking up the bricks scattered by your kids and their friends, feel free to share them in the comments. I tried the self-closing bag a few years ago (something similar to the one sold by amazon), I was not convinced by the product.

Bad news for Minions and LEGO fans, Universal has confirmed that the theatrical release of the animated film Minions: The Rise of Gru (Les Minions 2: Il était une fois Gru) is postponed again. Initially scheduled for July 2020, then July 2021, the film's release is now postponed to summer 2022.

We know that LEGO had planned to accompany the release of this animated film with five sets, two of which have already been on sale in 2020, the references 75549 Unstoppable Bike Chase (19.99 €) and 75551 Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair (49.99 €). I also offered you in May 2020 a "Review"from the set which allows you to assemble the maxi-figurines that house the Minions' lair.

The other three planned sets had briefly been available at a few retailers and on eBay but were officially withdrawn from sale and from the official online store as soon as the film's first postponed release was announced. LEGO probably expected to finally be able to market them this year and a promotional polybag, the benchmark 30387 Bob Minion with Robot Arms, was even expected.

We can assume that the manufacturer will therefore probably postpone the sale of the three remaining sets by one year again and you will have to wait to be able to add the three references below to your collections:

Notice to collectors of sets that showcase the various attractions present in LEGOLAND parks, a new reference will soon be added to their dioramas: the set 40473 Water Park, a box of 359 pieces which indeed summarily reproduces the aquatic area installed in Dubai et Italy.

These products are not sold on the official online store, they are only distributed in LEGOLAND park stores and LEGOLAND Discovery centers. Some parks have recently put several products on sale via temporary online stores due to the current health situation, but these initiatives are not intended to become definitive.
