It's no secret that LEGO regularly changes the instructions and inventory of some of its products to correct errors, improve certain functions or polish the appearance of affected models and it is currently the turn of the Batmobile in the set. Lego batman 76139 1989 Batmobile marketed since 2019 to benefit from a welcome update.

LEGO never communicates on these minor changes in the inventory of the sets concerned and the problem must be important enough for the manufacturer to resign itself to offering a "Service Pack"which makes it possible to correct the observed defect. This was for example the case for the set LEGO Ideas 21303 WALL-E in 2015.

Those who had read my review of the set in November 2019 certainly remember my remark concerning the 6x6 matte plate decked out with a central injection point which served for the roof of the vehicle's cockpit. I must not have been the only one who was disappointed with using this part as LEGO has since replaced this item with 3 tiles 2x6 shiny which allow to stick to the general aesthetics of this Batmobile.

The instruction booklet available online in PDF format has been modified and the illustrative visual showing the Batmobile on a black background has also been updated. The other photos in the booklet and on which we see the designer of the set observing his creation have not been retouched or modified.

Product sheet on the official online store has not been updated, it still presents the set as it was designed when it was launched.

If you want to take advantage of this change at a lower cost, please do not hesitate to contact customer service and politely explain that you want to benefit from this improvement without having to purchase all 3 tiles by retail. You will succeed.

I received the VIP "bought" reward for the modest sum of 950 points a few days ago: the VIP metal key ring in its blue box. When the offer is launched, the rewards center only offered one visual of this promotional product and I, like many others, dared to imagine that it was a keychain with a large 2x4 metal bricks.

I was a little too naive on this file and it is in fact a simple plaque with tenons flanked by the brand logo. You will tell me that it is more practical than a big brick for a keychain and you will probably be right.

The thing weighs 32 grams on the scale, it is not manufactured directly by LEGO but by the company RDP, a Chinese structure specializing in the design and manufacture of derivative products that works for many brands, and I can't help but think that LEGO could have offered this product rather than "selling" it to us in exchange for some- some of our precious VIP points.

We will remember that the blue cardboard box with its pretty interior foam has a little effect, that this packaging will be very practical for storing this derivative product at the back of a cupboard and that the right to proudly display its membership in the LEGO VIP program. will still have cost a few points.

To be honest, even if the code generated on the rewards center is in principle valid for 60 days from its date of issue, I placed an order for products that I already had on the Shop without waiting for the novelties of January 1st are online. I didn't want to take the risk of waiting several weeks and taking the reckless risk of running out of stock on this keychain and receiving an uninteresting polybag instead. The desire to own this trinket that I paid for with my hard-earned points was the strongest. We do not remake ourselves.

Will I sleep better at night now that this keychain is in my possession? Nothing is less certain, the disappointment of having "bought" something flat instead of a nice thick brick should disturb me for a few days.

New promotional offer on the LEGO Shop: The manufacturer offers a stationery set for wrapping gifts. The product titled 5006482 Holiday Gift Set is actually automatically added to the basket from 40 € of purchase.

According to the illustration visual, we get a paper bag, two wrapping sheets, decorated band to dress the gifts, two tags to add the name of the recipients, a card to put a little note and some stickers. Even if the decorative patterns are successful, LEGO manages to value the joke at 19.99 € which seems a bit excessive in view of the content.

The offer can obviously be combined with the one that currently allows you to obtain the LEGO set 40416 Ice Skating Rink (304 pieces) from 150 € of purchase.

Either way, it's free and if you have an order to place, that's always right. LEGO recalls in passing that if you want your sets to be under the tree, you will have to go to the cashier before December 17.
