75034 Death Star Troopers

Small daily tour on eBay to see the 2014 products added by some sellers, and I see once again that the new products that are not yet listed on the Lego shop or amazon sell very well and at incredibly high prices.

What justifies accepting to pay double the public price of a box when it is common knowledge that it will be available en masse within two weeks? Impatience ? The need to now own these minifigs advertised for many weeks? Mystery...

I can understand those who buy some minifigs that are more retailed on Bricklink for example, because they only collect the characters and don't care about coins and boxes. But when the cumulative price of minifigs from a set that has not yet been marketed far exceeds the highest price at which this set can be obtained without forcing, I find it more difficult to understand the motivations of the customers.

An example: At the bend ofan announcement, we find on eBay the two minifigs above, from the Battle Pack 75034 Death Star Troopers sold individually for around € 7 (+ € 1 shipping per minifig), i.e. € 32 to get the 4 minifigs of the set, the barrel less ... The public price of this new and complete Battle Pack will not exceed the 17 € when it is available in mass at all merchants on the planet ...

In short, I am stunned by this secondary market which sometimes takes on the appearance of pigeon hunting ...

I take this opportunity to inform you that you can also discover many pictures of the new 2014 minifigs on imageshack space de bricked, which compares old and new versions of different characters.
