I'm not going to rehash the whole story about The Winchester - Shaun of the Dead project proposed on Cuusoo by Yatkuu, you already know it.
In summary: Nice MOC, project submitted, massive enthusiasm, tons of support including from the film's actors, 10.000 supporter threshold reached , project rejected by LEGO . End of story.
One might have thought that this was the end of the road for Yatkuu and his MOC. But the fellow is resourceful, and he doesn't give up so easily. The enthusiasm surrounding this MOC was such that the possibility of offering it to fans through an alternative channel took hold. And it's on Bricklink (which, incidentally, is currently facing a number of attacks): The list of parts needed to reproduce this MOC is available there as several downloadable files at this address: Winchester.zip.
In this archive you will find:
The MOC .lxf file (to be opened under Lego digital designer)
The .bsx file of the parts (to be opened under brick store)
The minifig .bsx file
Yatkuu also announced that they are currently working on the PDF instruction file needed to assemble this MOC, which should be available on June 30, 2012, as three separate booklets, similar to what LEGO does for its Modular Building sets . These instructions will then be made available free of charge to those who wish to continue the Winchester project.
So this is what this project is becoming, and several Bricklink stores should be offering bundles containing the parts needed to assemble this MOC.
