amazon

If I believe the blog statistics, more and more of you, French and German in particular, are using the amazon price comparison integrated at this address. It was also necessary to optimize the code of the tool several times to better respond to the influx observed at certain times of the day.

All is not perfect, but it's to my knowledge the only tool which allows you to compare at a glance the prices charged for the same product in 5 different countries. This does not of course exempt you from ensuring that the price thatamazon provided is the one in effect at the time of your order.

Many of you are also writing to me about this tool developed by us (and its limits) and I am taking advantage of this calm Sunday regarding the LEGO Star Wars news to answer here the questions that come up the most often and put things back in place in the face of certain unfounded rumors currently circulating:

 1. The prices are collected at regular intervals on the different Amazon sites, and are returned as is (except for the English version where the £ / € exchange rate is applied before posting). The price recovered is that indicated by amazon, which leaves no choice according to very specific criteria (availability & lowest price, Out of stock, third-party sellers at the lowest price but product not available, etc.) . Amazon obviously favors its own stock if the product is available and the cheapest.

2. The shipping costs are not recoverable in the tool that I offer you because they vary according to the product ordered, the country of origin of the customer, etc ...: In each country, it is possible to deliver free for natives. But an order placed from abroad will be subject to transport costs in almost all cases. It's up to you to see if they are reasonable and if the price difference between two versions of Amazon remains interesting despite the transport costs. You can perform an order simulation on each site BEFORE proceeding with the validation and the payment thereof. Think about it.

3. Amazon has logistics units in France and especially when you order on the Spanish version of the site, you will be delivered from France. This is normal and it is even rather a good thing, your products travel faster and therefore arrive to you in good conditions.

4. The LEGO products sold on the different Amazon sites are the same, there are no different versions of classic LEGO products (sets from common ranges) depending on the country. A set will be the same whether you order it in France, Germany, Italy or Spain.

5. You can use your French Amazon account to order on the different merchant sites. Your payment method, if it is registered in the merchant interface, will be usable in all countries.

6. Amazon correctly packages its products, with all due respect to all those who would like us to believe that this merchant is not capable of ensuring quality logistics, and delivers them within a very reasonable time if they are available in stock. Pre-orders are managed from the customer area and you can cancel a pre-order whenever you want.

7. I have integrated ranges that have been requested by several of you, and I will continue to do so if there is an interest in comparing their prices between different countries. Italy sometimes becomes very interesting, especially for the UCS Star Wars range. Amazon Italy knows how to deliver quickly and in good conditions, don't believe everything you are told about it.

8. In Spain, the total amount of your order will be increased by the difference between the amount of IVA (Spanish VAT at 18%) and that of French VAT (19.6%). This is normal, not enough to cry scam.

9. Amazon Spain sells new and original LEGO sets. The ambient misinformation aimed at making you believe these LEGOs could possibly be counterfeit is fanciful. Until proven otherwise, there are no counterfeit LEGO sets on the European market. By counterfeit means a true copy using the brand and the product codes to deceive the customer into believing that he is buying an official LEGO product.
