It all started froman interview granted to the Los Angeles Times by the president of Warner Interactive, Martin Tremblay, who provides some information on the titles that will be offered on the video game market in 2012.
Throughout this interview we learn, among other things, that Warner will deliver a video game adaptation of Peter Jackson's next film: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. But we also learn that a video game Lego batman 2 is planned, following the first opus released in 2008, which had broken sales records and had beautifully launched the whole series of LEGO games based on universes as different as Star Wars, Indiana Jones or Harry Potter.
Otherwise, the last leaks that I proposed to you a few days ago concerning the DC Universe range for 2012 mentioned the release of a video game expected for the month of June 2012: Textually the document announced: In June release of a LEGO Super Heroes video game.
Martin Tremblay's interview confirms this information: ... along with a Lego Batman sequel and a game featuring a superhero from Warner's DC Comics unit that Tremblay wouldn't name .... It should therefore be a second game featuring one of the heroes of the DC Comics license. The list of potential heroes is long and it's unclear right now who's Superman, Wonder Woman, or maybe even Green Lantern will be there. I have a penchant for Justice League [Justice League] which would have the advantage of bringing together these super heroes and offering a wide range of playful possibilities.
the question that arises, however, is: What about the Marvel license and its adaptation into a LEGO video game? No mention of this license yet in the LEGO retailer catalogs. Since the presentation of minifigs as prototypes at San Diego Comic Con in July, no set image featuring Iron Man, Captain America, or the Hulk has filtered. Despite everything, it seems to me that LEGO intends to group its offer under the unified banner of the Superheroes range and we should quickly get some information on the possible video game adaptation of the Avengers, whose film will undoubtedly be one of the biggest cinematographic events of 2012.
