Financial results for the first half of 2022: LEGO is more green than ever

LEGO today publishes its interim financial results for the first half of 2022 and all the indicators are once again very green: LEGO announces a 17% increase in its turnover compared to the same period in 2021 which already established records as well as a sales volume up 13% in all the markets where the brand is present.

The operating result and the net profit are on their side in very slight fall but the difference is not significant enough to cry with the imminent bankruptcy of the group which presents these two indicators as "stable". 2021 had been an exceptional year for the manufacturer, so the comparison with last year's results is less exciting than when it came to highlighting the meteoric progress between 2020 and 2021.

On the sidelines of these accounting data which confirm that LEGO is doing very well, the manufacturer lists the ranges that are a hit at the start of the year: Star Wars, CITY, Technic, Icons, Friends or even Harry Potter and announces the opening 66 new stores around the world, including 46 units in China, for a total of 833 retail spaces currently open.
