7879A Eurobricks forumer has just confirmed the rumor: There will be a set 7879 Hoth Echo Base. Here is a summary of the information we have at this precise moment on this highly anticipated set:
Luke will be present in a Bacta Tank (Click on this link if you don't know what it is). A dark Red R-3PO minfig will also be included (In the spirit of this visual, see this link).
 andrewqwy therefore confirms that it will be an imposing set in the spirit of the set 8038 The Battle of Endor, including a large number of rebel minifigs with among them a priori the Major Bren Derlin.
He also confirms that the set will combine perfectly with the set. 7666 Hoth Rebel Base released in 2007 to form a cohesive whole.
This is what we know for the moment. No visual is yet available and no detailed information on availability and price has yet filtered.
