Today we take a quick look at the contents of the LEGO set 40907 Restaurants of the World: MexicoA small box of 326 pieces is currently being offered until April 19, 2026 on the official online store with any purchase of €180 or more, with no restrictions on the product range (the LEGO Jurassic World set). 77984 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler (currently available for pre-order, however, it is excluded from the offer).
I'll repeat for those who haven't been following: this product is the second volume in the new four-set collection entitled Restaurants of the World and inaugurated in February 2026 by the LEGO reference 40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan offered under the same conditions.
This is very subjective, but I find this themed shop a little less successful than the sushi shack from the previous set, even though the theme is handled with considerable attention to detail. It's clearly bordering on caricature once again, with the sign leaving no doubt as to what you can eat here; they have to exaggerate a bit to keep the theme of this new collection consistent.
The small shop is brimming with details: tortillas on the counter, a meat spit (or trompo) facing the rotisserie, and a bowl of guacamole, vegetables, and drinks ready to serve. The menu on the interior wall and the text on the large taco-shaped sign are stickers.
The included figure uses a new torso placed on a pair of previously seen legs. As is often the case with these combinations of parts, the colors aren't entirely consistent, with a somewhat pale brown printed on blue legs. For those interested, the shopkeeper's head is also the same as that of a whole host of generic characters since 2019 in the CITY and Speed Champions lines.
Is it absolutely necessary to spend at least €180 on products sold at their retail price on the official online store to get this small set? Why not, if it's a product exclusive to the LEGO Shop or if this collection of four sets seems essential to you, for example, to expand a city diorama based on... Modulars whose streets are somewhat lacking in activity.
The chosen theme is interesting, the first two volumes are well executed, and it now remains to be seen which shops will be provided in the two boxes that will complete this minifig scale collection.
