Star Wars Rebels: Back to basics ...

Second day of Celebration Europe with a really interesting panel during which the new Star Wars Rebels animated series was presented by Dave Filoni.

Nice atmosphere in the packed room. Filoni, smiling and always quick to answer questions, remained very vague on this new animated series which will begin airing in the fall of 2014 and whose action will take place between theEpisode III Revenge of the Sith and theEpisode IV A New Hope.

However, he reveals that the series will be graphically very inspired by the work of Ralph McQuarrie, the man who is at the origin of the visual identity of the saga, and that this new series will therefore not be a visual spin-off of The Clone Wars.

The visuals below were presented on the giant screen of the Celebration Stage. I've done my best to make my photos presentable, so I'm offering you a gallery of what this new animated series should look like. In photos 11 and 12, the "Ghost", a ship that should occupy an important place in the series.
