24/08/2011 - 12:00 Lego news
As every year, we are entitled to a few more or less blurry pictures of the novelties of the following year.
The visual which circulates since today would be that of the set "Battle of Naboo" which would contain the following minifigs: Queen Amidala, a Naboo Guard, Captain Panaka, a Battledroid Commander, and a Battledroid.
We immediately think of a bad editing in Photoshop, blurred to make it look like a stolen photo, and especially not to allow the exact identification of the content.
The logo used in front of the LEGO logo is indeed the one intended for the 2012 range of Star Wars merchandise, except that the text "Star Wars" should be written in blue with a white outline ....
The content also seems to have been roughly edited. The green of the left apparatus is far too pronounced, the minifigs are placed roughly and the set reference is barely readable. Guard Naboo appears to be a cut and paste of Captain Panaka's minifigure.
No mention "Preliminary" or "Confidential" as we usually find on products not yet final whose visuals leak on the web a few months before their release.
In conclusion, this is undoubtedly an umpteenth rigged montage and not a stolen photo of one of the most anticipated sets for next year ....
