The LEGO Movie 2: first clues about the movie scenario

Not much is known about the sequel to the animated film The LEGO Movie and that's pretty normal because this second installment won't hit theaters at best until February 2019.

At the turn of an intervention as part of the Festival and the International Animation Film Market (MIFA) d'Annecy (taken over by the Variety website), the boss of Warner Bros. France has however released some clues about the scenario of this sequel:

... After assuring that the most popular characters would return ... Everyone has changed except for Emmett. The musical film will spoof the damsel in distress trope after Will Arnett's Lego Batman is hijacked to Finn's sister's room and Emmett (Chris Pratt), must once again save the day ...

So we learn, if my English is not too rusty, that most of the main characters of the first opus will be back, that this film will indeed be a new boom in musicals with many songs and that Batman found himself trapped in the room of Finn's sister (the boy who plays in his father's basement in the first installment). Emmet will therefore have to come to his aid.

It's skinny, but it's still better than nothing.

I recall that until now we knew about the musical side of the thing, and we had stayed about Chris McKay, the director of The LEGO Batman Movie, who indicated that much of the action in the movie would take place in space.
