First concrete teaser for The LEGO Movie 2 with the poster above which features Emmet, Wyldstyle, Benny, Batman, Unikitty and Metalbeard in the reflection of the helmet of Sweet mayhem, the nasty mini-doll on duty.

We also discover the names of two other new characters about which we do not know much about: Ice cream cone et Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi.

The action of the film will take place five years after the events of the first installment, and the heroes troop above will have to deal with an invasion of DUPLO aliens:

It's gone for almost a year of teasing around the film The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part which will be released in theaters in February 2019. That's all we know.

Ah yes, there will also be a slew of LEGO sets and other merchandise based on the movie which is itself based on the LEGO products. Why not, the products drawn from the first part were rather successful.

Not much is known about the sequel to the animated film The LEGO Movie and that's pretty normal because this second installment won't hit theaters at best until February 2019.

At the turn of an intervention as part of the Festival and the International Animation Film Market (MIFA) d'Annecy (taken over by the Variety website), the boss of Warner Bros. France has however released some clues about the scenario of this sequel:

Chris McKay, director of The LEGO Batman Movie, announces it in an interview by recovery Heroic hollywood : The sequel to the animated film The LEGO Movie will be a "...Big musical and space action movie ..."and it is an ambitious project which involves several lyricists:"...They need a lot of the writing, a lot of development, not only with script development, but development with songwriters ...".

Rob Schrab, the first director in charge of the project, had left the ship due to different creatives with the film crew. Mike Mitchell (Shrek 4, Alvin and the Chipmunks 3, Trolls) took over the controls of this film whose scenario was written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller then rewritten by Rapahel Bob-Waksberg.

At least we learn that the action of the film will take place in space. For the rest, we will have to wait to know if in this film where the songs seem to occupy an important place, the various titles will be diffused in original version in France or if they will be versions translated and interpreted by French artists.

The theatrical release of the film is announced for February 2019.
