thinkgeek lego

The sign selling all kinds of "Geeks" items is currently looking for a "Lego builder"talented who will integrate the structure to develop what appear to be" homemade "kits which will then be distributed by this specialist in original gifts, gadgets and toys. (see ad).

I suspect that no one among you will apply for this job based in Fairfax in Virignie (USA) but the info is still interesting because it reveals a clearly displayed desire by this merchant to surf the growing popularity of brick in offering sets developed in-house.

The ad mentions that the job will consist of "... develop some brick based awesomeness with our own LEGO compatible building sets ...". Difficult to understand what exactly this sentence means. I think that ThinkGeek intends to market its own MOCs based on LEGO bricks (or compatible) and the brand also requires the candidate to have total mastery of the LEGO Digital Designer software and a ability to generate assembly instructions.

On the side of the licenses concerned, the announcement is however very explicit: "... You might even get to work on some of the top sci-fi and gaming licenses in the world including Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Portal, Game of Thrones, Minecraft, and DOTA ..."
