I am obviously at my expense on the principle of the official packaging, which on the LEGO Super Heroes Marvel range does not include the visual codes of other derivative products on the same theme as is the case for example on the Star Wars range . Instead, LEGO simply changed DC blue to Marvel red.
Regarding these Hero Factory-style figures, there's not much to say. You either like them or you don't, and only Iron Man ( Set 4529 ) appeals to me. Since the character is in armor, this representation stays true to the spirit of the character, with a justified robotic look. However, it's missing a few extra pieces around the axes to add some substance to the armor and give it a more massive appearance.
Hulk ( Set 4530 ) is definitely too cartoonish and reminds me of a character from the Ben 10 universe with his very/too stylized face... In this set, Hulk is dressed in his tattered blue pants/shorts, unlike the figure in set 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout, which is depicted with beige pants.
Captain America ( Set 4597 ) could have been a success if it weren't for those pointless armored shoulder pads that have no business being there. The shield is nice and will undoubtedly be useful to some inspired MOC builders to recreate Cap on a scale similar to the shield, but using System parts.
Note that these three sets were briefly listed on Amazon a few weeks ago at a price of €14.50 before being removed ( see this article ).
