Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

LEGO has just announced its interim results for the first half of 2016 and if you don't want to read the full press release which can be found at this address, I will summarize the situation below:

• The turnover achieved by LEGO during the first half of 2016 amounted to 2.1 billion euros with a net profit (Les sousous in the pocket) down slightly (-2%) compared to 2015 but which still reached 469 million.
• The overall turnover is 10% increase compared to the same period of the year 2015.
• The European and Asian markets are recording a double digit growth over these first six months of the year.
• The American market is stagnating: sales are maintained at the level of the previous year. LEGO assumes and promises to relaunch growth in this market by putting the package.
• The Group's Chinese plant, located in Jiaxing, has entered the production phase. The factories in Monterey (Mexico) and Nyíregyháza (Hungary) will see their production capacity double after some expansion works.
• In terms of the group's workforce, LEGO has hired 3500 employees (24% more than in 2015) during the first half of 2016 for a total of 18500 employees worldwide.
