You'll still say I spend my time complaining, but my first reaction when I saw the official set visuals 70910 Scarecrow's Special Delivery (204 pieces - 24.99 €) was to tell me that there must be an error in the statement.
According to the name of the set, this box therefore features Scarecrow, the Scarecrow for French speakers, the supervillain dressed in tattered clothes and a battered hat.
Here, we have a pizza delivery man. It's cool, but out of context and without having seen The LEGO Batman Movie, it doesn't help me much to have a Jonathan Crane disguised like this in my collection.
That being said, this is again a 200 piece lead product. This is barely more than the minimum service to sell us the three minifigs provided.
We can nevertheless briefly marvel at the delivery motorcycle that hides the can of "fear gas", it is successful even if when it comes to pizza delivery we are all more used to the delivery man on a scooter with a small topcase at the back than to motorcycles with trailers.
By turning the sign on the roof, the side panels (dressed in stickers) fall to release the fear gas.
We can also find delivery vehicles from the manufacturer Yeeso with a design relatively close to that of the set without the motorcycle / trailer separation:
Lovers of LEGO-based city dioramas will be happy to find here something to fill the streets of their city a little more. All you have to do is replace the driver and here is a perfectly acceptable pizza delivery boy serving the citizens of LEGOville. They will have to make a "Luigi" pizzeria. This set provides them with two "classic" pizzas, one with a slightly spookier topping due to the spread of the fear gas and even a pizza box (see below).
As I wrote previously, the "building" of this set, in this case the gatehouse of the factory keeper Gotham Energy (and its stickers) with its barrier, can be combined with the references 70900 The Joker Balloon Escape et 70901 Mr. Freeze Ice Attack to obtain a slightly more substantial decor.
LEGO informs us that it is thus possible to "...create an even bigger power plant ...". Let's not exaggerate.
On the minifig side, we find the inevitable Batman, the guardian of the factory who displays only one expression and Scarecrow with his very successful Luigi's Pizza t-shirt with its torn collar.
Let's see the bright side: if you lose a Batman minifigure from this range or the new yellow belt that comes in duplicate in almost every box, you will have a dozen more to console you.
Scarecrow's two facial expressions are successful, too bad that LEGO hasn't planned at least one replacement torso for this minifig, just to get a more classic version of the character in his usual outfit. But it's already planned with a box that will be available in the second half of 2017 in which Scarecrow will be delivered with an unidentified flying device.
Note: The set presented here is involved. To participate, you must intervene in the comments. You have until January 15, 2017 at 23:59 p.m. to contribute to the discussion and a draw will determine the winner. The winner's name / nickname will be posted here within 24/48 hours of the contest closing date.
Update : The winner has been drawn, his nickname is indicated below.
