Apart from the most assiduous fans of the Star Wars saga, who remembers Lobot, the administrator of Cloud City (Bespin) in the service of Lando Calrissian with a device grafted on his brain that allows him to communicate with the Cloud City mainframe? Probably not many people ...
Collectors who own the set (unloved, and yet underestimated) 7199 Twin-Pod Cloud Car released in 2002 also know the minifigure that was delivered with with a print on the back of the face representing the character's electronic equipment. For 10 years, more news of this character that it would be difficult to fit into a set other than a remake of the 10123 Cloud City released in 2003.
However, LEGO brings us back Lobot with a version largely updated and which obviously pleases the fans. It is found in the set of the second wave of the Planet Series range accompanied by the Cloud Car and the planet Bespin: 9678 Twin-Pod Cloud Car ™ & Bespin ™ (available at the unbeatable price of 8.56 € at amazon.es). Because we have to admit that the star of this set is Lobot himself and not the machine, a little too orange, or the planet, a little too basically silkscreened.
The question we can ask ourselves now is: Are we going to have the right to a remake of Cloud City, and this minifig foreshadows the arrival of such a set?
It would be strange for a minifigure to be exclusive to a range of minisets, however nice they were. Lobot is not a well-known character in the saga, let alone the younger ones. The presence of this minifigure in this set could put us on the trail of an upcoming large-scale playset that would refresh the 2003 one.
