No doubt taken aback by the publication of photos of the box, LEGO has just officially announced the 71006 The Simpsons House set, the retail price of which will be € 199.99. Available February 1, 2014. Mini-figs in sachet are announced for the month of May.

LEGO had just made The Simpsons license official by hinting at the marketing of a single set and a series of 16 collectible minifigs: "...Building Set and Minifigure Series Based on the Popular Show Available Beginning February 2014 ...".

Oh! The Simpsons House has been turned into LEGO® bricks!

Recreate hilarious scenes from the classic animated TV series with The Simpsons House. Straight from Springfield, this awesome model is full of details in LEGO® bricks. Lift the roof and open the house to discover Homer's and Marge's large bedroom with a bed and Maggie's cradle, Bart's bedroom with his skateboard and a Krusty the Clown poster, Lisa's bedroom with her favorite books, a jazz poster and more, and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink and mirror. Lift the top floor to discover the fully equipped kitchen with a dining table, chairs, yellow and blue tiling, and plenty of pots, pans and other accessories. Then come into the living room with a sofa and TV showing Itchy and Scratchy, a purple piano and more.
