It's late, and I got into my head that there must be some credible bits of information somewhere about this minifigure that must be the most awaited by fans. I think I got to the bottom of the Internet, and the news is pretty poor.
Still no further information for now on this minifigure which was presented as a prototype in July at San Diego Comic Con 2011.
Let's ignore the wild theories of young enthusiasts who already envision a chrome Royal Naboo Starship accompanying this minifigure; that seems rather unlikely to me. I'm sticking with my idea of a Theed Palace playset , but doubt suddenly creeps in:
Celebration Leia will be provided in set 9495 Gold Leader's Y-Wing Starfighter , so DK Editions has no reason to include this minifig in their next release... and yet... no, after all, the inscription in the top left of this presentation sheet clearly indicates that this minifig is planned for the second half of 2012 (Star Wars 2012 2 HY) and mentions that it will be delivered in set 9499.
In short, all this to say nothing and to slip in below two nice customs of Queen Amidala by yoshix and DocVenkman , not necessarily recent, but it's all we have to go on.
