I'll briefly return to this set 9526 Palpatine's Arrest , announced but never officially shown by LEGO and which should be released in June 2012 with the rest of the second wave of sets.
This set isn't a new concept. In May 2008, Toys R Us launched the 2009 Fan's Choice Set campaign and consulted AFOLs, asking them to choose which set they wanted to see released from three options. Set 7754, the Home One Mon Calimari Star Cruiser, was chosen at the time and subsequently produced.
The project titled The Arrest of Palpatine finished second in the rankings, ahead of Slave I and Cloud City Landing Platform . The entry mentioned the presence in the relevant film scene of Mace Windu, Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar, and Kit Fisto, the four Jedi who storm the Chancellor's office. Windu fares somewhat better than his fellow Jedi and even finds himself in a position to decide the Chancellor's fate. But Anakin Skywalker arrives in the meantime and cuts off his hand before Palpatine sends him packing.
Indeed, in this scene from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith , Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar, and Kit Fisto don't last long and are eliminated by Palpatine in a matter of seconds. But their presence in set 9526 is practically required to hope for anything worthwhile.
Unless LEGO focuses on the fight between Palpatine, for whom a double-sided face would be a good thing, Anakin and Windu, which is the end of the scene in question.
In my opinion two options:
1. A set with Mace Windu, Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto, Anakin and Palpatine / Sidious. A chair, a desk, a movable bay window.
2. A set with Mace Windu, Anakin and Palpatine / Sidious. A portion of bay window with a mechanism that allows it to jump to eject Windu.
This set 9526 Palpatine's Arrest will probably be an exclusive for Toys R Us, La Grande Récré or LEGO Shop, as is usual with sets that are unveiled very shortly before their commercialization.
