If there is one thing that we must recognize in LEGO, it is its undeniable know-how to sell us its products ...
Below is the latest ad for two of the sets in the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes line: 76012 Batman: The Riddler Chase et 76013 The Joker Steam Roller.
The Marvel set 76018 Hulk Lab Smash, based on the excellent animated series Avengers: Assemble (Avengers: Gathering chez nous) looks like a really interesting box: The five minifig / figurines delivered are all new: Hulk with his purple shorts, Thor in a version "Classic"(also seen in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game), Falcon, The Taskmaster and MODOK.
Here are some real homemade photos of MODOK's head, and especially of the inside of this oversized head which attaches to the torso of a standard minifigure (The rest of the figure is replaced here by lambdas black pieces).
After the visuals of the sets 79119 Mutation Chamber Unleashed et 79120 T-Rawket Sky Strike (See this post), here are two more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets planned for 2014: 79118 Karai Bike Escape (88 pieces) and 79121 Turtle Sub Undersea Chase (684 rooms).
These four sets are based on the animated series currently airing on the Nickelodeon channel.
(With Eurobricks)
Come on, because we don't have any images of the Star Wars novelties yet and because it's arguably the most anticipated minifigure in the long list of sets derived from The LEGO Movie, here's a (real) photo of Benny , published on Twitter by Chris Miller one of the film's two directors.
This minifigure will be available in sets 70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow et 70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!.
Bonus: I add the trailer "Behind the Bricks", so as not to remake a ticket just for the video below ...
FBTB just published his review of the London Toy Fair with some interesting information reported by bigospedros on the Star Wars news for the second half of the year. Below, the essentials to remember, crossed with what we already know.
A front that looks like the Y-Wing. The starship is based on the Star Wars Rebels animated series. (177 pieces)
The machine seems larger than that of the previous versions offered by LEGO. Missiles under the wings and the harpoon that can be placed in a new generation blaster (See the version of Padawan Waax). 3 minifigs: Luke, Dak Ralter and a Snowtrooper. (278 pieces)
Very limited description, the ship was suspended. It would look like the B-Wing from the 6208 set released in 2006. 3 minifigs: Ten Numb, Airen Cracken and a B-Wing pilot. (448 pieces)
No description - Ship based on the animated series The Yoda Chronicles. 4 already known minifigs: JEK-14, a Ithoian Jedi Master, Protocol Droid RA-7and Astromech Droid. (490 pieces)
Modular building as seen in the preliminary photos, new Dewback (also seen), Landspeeder with new color scheme, there will be 3 Bith musicians (Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes). The other minifigs are known via the preliminary visuals: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Sandtrooper, Greedo. That is 8 minifigs in total. (615 pieces)
Very limited description, but we know this is a starship based on the Star Wars Rebels animated series. Several minifigs announced in the official description, at least three including two rebels and Zeb. (929 pieces)
Smaller than previous versions, more robust in appearance than its predecessors. minifigs are known: a AT-AT Driver, General Veers, a Snowtrooper Commander and 2 x Snowtroopers. (1138 pieces)
75055 Imperial Star Destroyer :
Smaller than the previous model, but similar in construction, with improvements to the top panel which can be removed and side portions which can be opened. the guns are interconnected and therefore move in a coordinated manner. A carrying handle is integrated. Little room inside the "Bridge". The Emperor's hologram is a statuette molded in trans blue. The minifigs are already known: Darth Vader (which appears to be a new version from the description of FBTB), a Imperial officer1 x Imperial Crew1 x Imperial Army Trooper, 2x Stormtroopers, and a Palpatine hologram. (1359 pieces)
75056 Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 :
Many mini-models, including a Y-Wing, a Landspeeder, General Rieekan, a Santa Trooper, R2-D2 in fir version, green with a cone on the top, and a Santa Darth Vader (The helmet would be black and not red as one might have guessed according to a Eurobricks user).
