If you like to use your VIP points to get the rewards offered by LEGO rather than to take advantage of a reduction on your purchases, know that two new rewards have been added to the dedicated area: A bag and a cap in the colors of the recent collaboration between the manufacturer and the HYPE brand.
You have to "spend" 1000 points for the bag or about 6.66 € and 2300 points or the equivalent of 15.33 € for the cap. Don't hang around if you are interested in these two limited edition products, 360 bags and 240 caps are available.
After converting your points, you get a unique code to use when ordering. As usual, it is unfortunately only possible to use one code for a physical reward per order and it will therefore be necessary to place at least two orders to obtain these two products in the colors of the Ninjago range.
It is today thanks to a Taiwanese brand that we are discovering six of the sets planned for March 2021 in the LEGO Monkie Kid range. The and 80023 Monkie Kid's Team Dronecopter (1462 - 139.99 €) is indeed already online for two weeks on the official store but LEGO had not yet officially announced the six other boxes planned:

To date, the animated series that serves both as a reference on the context of this universe designed for the Asian market and as a marketing support for derivative products has still not been broadcast in France. There is little chance that it will be one day, this range is only distributed elsewhere than in Asia because of the commitment made by LEGO to no longer reserve its "general public" ranges to certain geographical areas. . Products derived from this universe are marketed directly by LEGO and are not accessible to other brands specializing in toys.
If you are interested in this range, please note that we will soon have the opportunity to speak in more detail about each of these boxes based on the occasion of a series of "Review "Some of these sets have nice surprises in store and the minifig endowment is quite attractive.
For those interested, know that you will soon be able to buy two new products from the LEGO Education range directly on the official online store without going through an approved reseller or having to prove that you are a teacher or head of an association structure.
These two boxes of the new BricQ concept constitute a kind of homecoming for the Education range which has poured in recent years, in particular with the WeDo or Spike concepts, in a price escalation which in fact reserved the products concerned for associations or the most vulnerable school structures. more fortunate.
No motors, sensors or various and varied electronic hubs in these two new boxes, it will be about learning the principles of movement, forces and interactions using a simple assortment of bricks, 'gears, weights and springs. The public prices of these sets with a simplified inventory but which will as usual be accompanied by a complete battery of educational resources are therefore logically more reasonable.
|
LEGO emphasizes the accessibility of these two new products, in particular to teachers who would be reluctant to immerse themselves in more technological concepts requiring prior learning and then passing on the educational content acquired.
But the price positioning of this new educational solution imagined by LEGO also has another objective: to penetrate markets which until now were not or not very accessible to the manufacturer because of the prohibitive cost of products in the LEGO Education range.
Thanks to these products more geared towards learning mechanical functions rather than introducing them to an expensive technological concept, the manufacturer will be able to set up in countries where the budgets devoted to education are more modest than in others. The potential market is huge, and like any manufacturer working to expand their footprint and business presence, LEGO needs to find new students who may one day become potential customers after discovering the LEGO ecosystem through the school.
Both products are already listed on the official online store and are advertised as "Coming soon".
LEGO has just announced the result of the second phase of LEGO Ideas evaluation for the year 2020, a batch which brought together 35 more or less successful ideas but which had all been able to gather the 10.000 necessary supports. This is the project Vincent van Gogh: The Starry Night submitted by legotruman (Truman Cheng) who is the only one to be definitively validated.
For those who do not know, the proposed project is a relief interpretation of the famous painting The Starry Night painted in 1889 by Van Gogh during his visit to the asylum of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Under the starry sky, we therefore find the Provencal village, a cypress and the Alpilles in the background. Even if the subject is the fruit of a tormented mind, the official product that will be inspired by this project will undoubtedly offer a new "relaxing" lifestyle experience for stressed adults. All that will be missing is the soundtrack with the cicadas to accompany the assembly.
Everything else goes directly by the wayside, for undoubtedly various and varied reasons which are not officially communicated by LEGO. Exit Ratatouille, Night at the Museum, Portal, Community, Animal Crossing, Naruto, Avatar and company, the message is clear. If these licenses, series, films or characters are ever to arrive at LEGO, it will most likely not be through the LEGO Ideas range. Too bad for the Trabant, for once we could have gotten a square LEGO car that's like the real one ...
The real good news of the day for me: The project Sonic Mania - Green Hill Zone by Viv Grannell, which was still under review since the first phase of the 2020 review, the result of which was announced in September of last year, is also definitively validated. LEGO confirms that the project is now in the adaptation phase to become an official product and that SEGA is in the game. I remind you that Sonic is not a stranger at LEGO, the character was the star of one of the extensions of the late concept LEGO Dimensions (71244 Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack).
If you have time to spare, you can always try to guess who will be the winner of the next review phase, the results of which will be revealed next summer. We can already eliminate at least the Colosseum (already done), the Boeing 737 (too many crashes), the game that we do not understand (we understand nothing), Fall Guys (the hype has fallen), Avatar The Last Airbender ( license already rejected today), the Bag End (already done), the MRI scanner (too depressing), the garbage truck (too CITY) and the Modulars (preserve).
As planned, LEGO is launching today the second phase of the vote imagined to designate the theme of the set which will have the honor of celebrating the brand's 90th anniversary in 2022.
LEGO had announced that the three most popular themes would be retained following the first phase of the vote, but ultimately four themes are in the running. Among the thirty themes listed during the first step, LEGO had proposed many sub-ranges of the Castle universe which had obviously led to a fragmentation of the votes. To save the furniture, LEGO is therefore reintegrating the universe in question in the MCQ put online today under the global name Castle. So you have to choose between four themes instead of three: Bionicle, Classic Space, Pirates and Castle.
For those interested, in the initial vote it was the Bionicle universe that won with 24.799 votes. The Classic Space universe finished in second place with 18171 votes and the Pirates theme finished third with 15884 votes. By grouping together the votes directed to the different subcategories of the Castle universe, the theme would have won the day with 33489 votes out of the 77000 votes cast ... (see the summary of votes on the LEGO Ideas site)
The result of this new stage of the consultation carried out by the manufacturer with the fans will not be made public before the announcement of the commemorative set, which is obviously not for now.
If you want to make your voice heard, it's at this address it happens. You have until February 10 to come forward.
