We were talking about it here, this month of September is not really good as far as promotional offers are concerned on the LEGO Shop. October promises to be a little more interesting, as confirmed by Store Calendar French online on the LEGO server at this address.

On the program: VIP points will be doubled for any purchase made between October 1 and October 31, 2014. For 1 € spent, you get 2 points and with 100 points you get a 5 € discount to be used on a subsequent purchase, i.e. 'equivalent to a 10% discount on your initial purchase.

Another bonus, an exclusive gift offered from October 15 to 31 from 55 € of purchase in LEGO products: The LEGO Creator 40106 Elves's Workshop set which will be followed, like every year, by a second matching box in November.

Lego indicates in the Store Calendar that it will also be possible to obtain this gift for the purchase of the set LEGO Creator Expert 10245 Santa's Workshop, which is obviously logical: Its public price (69.90 €) exceeds the required amount of 55 € to benefit from the offer ...

It's not the big sale of the century, but it's already not bad.

We cannot repeat it enough: Compare before you start. This offer provides a significant reduction, greater than that offered by the VIP LEGO program (5%), on certain boxes for which the brand has exclusivity (excluding Lego shop) like the LEGO Star Wars 75058 MTT set or the LEGO Ideas boxes (see the category "Rare Products").

A quick note to let you know that the 2014 LEGO Advent Calendars are available in the LEGO Shop.

No price increase on these boxes this year, the respective versions of these sets were at the same price in 2013 (34.99 € for the Star Wars version, 19.99 € for the City and Friends boxes).

Tip of the day: Wait until October 1st to buy your favorite calendar, there is a good chance that the VIP points will be doubled and that a small gift will be offered for any order placed on the LEGO Shop.

But don't wait too long either, every year I see distraught parents who can no longer find Advent calendars in stock anywhere and who are resigned to spending more than they should to satisfy their offspring ....

These three calendars can be found in the Seasonal Items category on the Shop where there is also a set whose content is rather original: The LEGO box 850939 sold € 7.99 with a Santa Claus and a little boy which contains an accessory mentioned in the description of the set: A "extra wig" for "turn boy into girl"...

It's funny, but it prevents LEGO from adding an additional minifigure to balance the thing, we save ourselves yet another debate on sexism, the absence of female characters, etc ... and everyone is happy.

Note that on October 6, LEGO will unveil the next exclusive set about which speculation is rife. This could be the new set from the LEGO Creator Expert range (Structure) which, according to an unconfirmed rumor, could be a "Detective's Office".

The previous set of the range, the box 10243 Parisian Restaurant, had been officially announced in early October 2013, which explains why the next Structure thanks to the forecasts. The LEGO Star Wars 75060 UCS Slave I set is another contender for an exclusive announcement.
