Since the announcement of this product and the other January blister pack, the reference 40557 Defense of Hoth, opinions are very divided. On the one hand, all those who believed in Santa Claus and who already saw themselves getting exclusive and never-before-seen Rex and Cody minifigs for less than € 15 are bound to be disappointed. On the other, those who will gladly be satisfied with a few Clones Troopers Phase I moreover in their dioramas are rather satisfied. Finally, those who wanted a copy of the Clone Commander seen in the set 75309 Republic Gunship without spending 349.99 € will no doubt be delighted.

We can always consider that LEGO is reducing the content of what we commonly call a "Battle Pack" to maintain the public price charged for years on these small boxes which allow to obtain generic characters in multiple copies. But it is in fact rather a simple tariff sliding which left an empty box: The traditional Battle Packs with four figures and some parts like the set 75320 Snowtrooper Battle Pack will now be sold for € 19.99 and the price bracket of € 14.99, just above the Microfighters at € 9.99, had become vacant. These unpretentious blisters therefore now occupy this niche and it is logically necessary to be satisfied with three minifigs instead of four so as not to encroach on the ground of the classic Battle Packs.

I hardly ever tell you about the packaging of the products I test, I buy LEGO for the bricks, not for the box. I'm making a sprain here because this type of product, already seen in this format in other ranges, is unheard of in the LEGO Star Wars range. The packaging is attractive, even if we can blame LEGO for putting a lot of plastic in it while the brand's communication goes in the direction of reducing the use of this material for the packaging of its products. This blister pack is designed to be grabbed around a corner and thrown into the cart without thinking too much, the price charged is not a priori a brake if we compare it with the high prices usually charged by the brand.

The three minifigs provided are as always accompanied by a few bricks. This involves assembling a Clone command post and a weapons rack, two rather sketchy constructions. By removing two minifigs, we are in the concept of Microfighters with a totally symbolic machine and on a scale that makes it almost cute. Those who already bought products from the LEGO Star Wars range in 2013 inevitably remember the set. 75000 Clone Troopers vs. Droidekas which then allowed to obtain 124 coins including only two Clones Troopers for 14.99 €. There were certainly two Droidekas to build in addition to the command post, but it was not necessarily better "before" if one is satisfied to evaluate the price of a product in relation to the quantity of minifigs supplied.

The three minifigs delivered here are Clones Troopers, so logically everyone looks the same. As I said above, we mainly get a copy of the Clone Commander seen in the set 75309 Republic Gunship which sold for a good thirty euros before the announcement of this blister pack. But the officer / private ratio is not very advantageous here and I have a thought for those who will accumulate copies of this blister pack by wanting to build up a small army of Clone Troopers without spending too much money. On arrival, that's a lot of commanders ...

A technical detail that is a little embarrassing and which has a tendency to become widespread: the ink drools frankly around the border of certain patterns. This is sometimes the case on faces, for example around the eyes, but it is also the case on some torsos. One would have imagined that LEGO masters the art of pad printing on an industrial scale, but it seems that a few production units have to adjust their machines.

The good news about the product: the presence of classic blasters instead of Stud Shooters usual rude and disproportionate. LEGO adds a candle to the end of these weapons, it is visually quite convincing. No machine launcher in this product, it will be necessary to pew pew.

In short, there is nothing to say about this product that LEGO presents as an economical gateway to the LEGO Star Wars range for the youngest. This set is indeed in the second row of the cheapest references in the range just behind the Microfighters sold for € 9.99, it will easily find its audience and it is anyway the cheapest solution at the moment to accumulate Clone Troopers until more thirsty.

It has been the tradition for fifteen years now, at the beginning of each year its new Structure Lego. For those who are new to this name, the term refers to the modular buildings marketed by LEGO which when put together form a large street filled with more or less assorted constructions. The principle is always the same: An architectural approach that varies according to the inspiration of the designer, removable floors and a roof that allow access to the interior fittings, furniture adapted to the developed theme, a handful of minifigs to fill the places and above all a construction process that calls for many original techniques very popular with fans of this universe. The 2022 vintage is announced, so it is the benchmark 10297Boutique Hotel, a street corner of 3066 rooms which will be available from January 1, 2022 at the public price of € 199.99.

As the title of the product suggests, this involves assembling a hotel flanked by a boutique selling works of art. Exit the somewhat austere facades of the police station of the set 10278 Police Station (2021) or the industrial look building of the set 10264 Corner Garage (2019), the hotel in question here mixes a very XNUMXth century architecture with some accents Rococo which will undoubtedly go very well with the library of the set 10270 Bookshop (2020). It is colorful, the facades are detailed and the construction will certainly stand out among other buildings a little less "eccentric".

Regulars of this range of Modulars will have made the link between this new proposal and the construction of the much appreciated and sought-after set 10182 Coffee Corner marketed between 2007 and 2009: This new building also houses a hotel, it is also on a street corner and it incorporates some of the architectural details of its illustrious predecessor. The tribute is there, but the Modular 2022 benefits from a much higher level of finish, thanks in particular to new elements imagined and produced for 15 years, and a more colorful and less shy aesthetic. The instruction booklet details as promised the few references to other sets in the range over the pages, these are mostly nods that should please those who are loyal to the concept.

The recipe that made the success of Modulars does not change, the construction process intelligently alternates between walls, floors and various and varied furniture. You never get bored of laying only bricks or building only beds and wardrobes. For this time, we are building as usual from bottom to top, starting with the very spacious hotel lobby installed on a 32x32 base plate in Medium Stone Gray. The floor of the premises is covered with Tiles with a nice central motif that will train some fans in the art of tiling in the LEGO version, this will no longer be the case on the floors. We immediately notice the great effort on the staircase which takes customers to their rooms: it is wide, covered with Tiles and take advantage of a very successful guardrail.

A vase with a few flowers, a sofa and a reception with telephone and key board, everything is there even if the hall may seem a little empty to some. The small adjoining shop is installed from the first bags, it is filled with works of art that do not really leave space to move around. As much to specify it to remove the doubt, there are no stickers in this box, all the elements on which you see inscriptions or patterns are therefore pad printed.

The first floor houses two bedrooms of very different standards. The smaller one is content with basic furniture while the larger one enjoys a beautiful wardrobe and a desk with a micro version of the typewriter from the LEGO ideas set. 21319 Typewriter (2021). This room also has a panoramic view of the street thanks to the rounded facade which gives all its character to this hotel. No bathroom on this floor, you probably had to choose between the very cumbersome stairwell and a space dedicated to sanitary facilities. It is also one of the peculiarities of Modulars LEGO, their very detailed facades on one side and their more symbolic interior spaces on the other, despite the presence of many pieces of furniture sometimes piled up to the point of thirst. The floor of the rooms is not tiled, it will be necessary to be satisfied with visible tenons which will at least have the merit of being able to let the owner of the set choose how to position the minifigs provided.

The second floor is a penthouse : the whole floor is dedicated to a suite which this time integrates a bathroom in addition to the usual furniture and a television dating from the 50s. Still no tiled floor but a large bed, a beautiful bathtub and inevitable toilet bowl that designers never fail to add in these constructions. Two cupcakes from the Friends range are there to embody the bedside lamps, it is also for these types of details that fans love this range. The roof is flat, without frills, but it incorporates a glass roof made up of four movable elements and a dome which completes the character of this hotel. The roof rails are snakes already seen in the Ninjago range, they are not off topic here with a nice effect present on three of the four sides.

On the side of the building, the El Cubo boutique, specializing in ... Cubism, receives a ceiling which is also the floor of a festive terrace with a bar, a few tables and a rather successful large palm tree. There is little room left for customers to enjoy the view of the street, but it is the price to pay to be entitled to a whole series of furniture and accessories that make all the salt of this range.

The rear of the building is once again significantly less detailed than the other three faces, but this part of the building is not intended to be visible. All rooms have their windows and this wall will not penalize hotel guests. We can not blame the designer either for not having exploited a sufficient surface of the 32x32 base plate which receives the construction: the facade only leaves room for the sidewalk on two sides, the rear wall is flush with the plate. and there is only the back of the store which leaves a 15x5 space vacant on which a container hangs out.

The endowment in furniture and other accessories is as usual very varied and it involves many techniques often known to regulars but which will also be able to pleasantly surprise those who practice less the art of Structure. As usual, I have isolated these pieces of furniture for you so that everyone can get a better idea of ​​what is left after the walls, roof, doors, windows and stairs of the building are removed. The minifig endowment is very correct with seven minifigs including two hotel employees with very successful torsos.

The rest of the cast are more neutral, but it takes a few clients to fill the rooms with an old lady who can afford the second floor suite and an arguably tighter budget traveler who will be content with the small room. from the first floor. The businessman with his briefcase will occupy the other room on the same level. All these beautiful people will meet on the terrace to enjoy a cocktail served by the bellhop who also acts as barman. The Modulars can also tell a story, it's up to you depending on what you want to do with the construction when it's assembled and displayed.

As usual, the majority of interior fittings are no longer really visible or easily accessible once this Structure is installed on a shelf, but the pleasure comes above all from the assembly of the product which allows to discover some original techniques and to marvel as with a doll's house on the clever miniaturization of many everyday objects. Then, we will be content to integrate the hotel in the corner of a street made up of other references in the range and it is this set of constructions not always very well matched to each other that will have its effect.

Treat yourself to a Structure also implies not to spoil too much the various solutions imagined by the designers to obtain the result presented on the official visuals. Regulars in this universe know that some buildings are more or less successful but they all offer their dose of construction pleasure and it is the privilege of those who spend their money in these big boxes. to savor the assembly process.

This Modular 2022 does not demerit, it seems to me able to celebrate the 15 years of the range as it should with its polished aesthetic, its shimmering colors, its very correct finish and the discreet tribute to the set. 10182 Coffee Corner. Start a collection of Modulars is never easy, fans were quick to pick up the models still available for sale before turning to those withdrawn from the manufacturer's catalog and realizing that the aftermarket does not give a freebie.

If you like this one, don't hesitate to go for it without hesitation for too long, hoping for a hypothetical price drop. This range offers a real construction experience combined with a really interesting exhibition potential and you will then have plenty of time to expand your street with other references according to your tastes to create "your" personalized street. Today we are talking about the LEGO plate again 5007016 VIP 1950's Retro Tin currently offered until November 25 at LEGO from 250 € of purchase: I received my order placed during the VIP weekend and I was surprised to discover the object in two copies in the box. I said to myself that it would be fashionable to share it with a reader of the site and to briefly present the thing to you in passing.

As we suspected, the product is made by Chinese company RDP like all other metal key rings already offered through the VIP program. The finish is not bad if we admit that it is a simple promotional product that mimics vintage enamel signs: the printing is correct, without smudges or stains. The plate comes in a paper case which could have been a little sexier, for example a canvas bag with a lace at the end. Nothing is provided on the back to hang the object on the wall, it will be necessary to be creative with for example a double-sided adhesive or simply to expose this plate of 30 x 15 cm resting on something.

It is not in my eyes the derivative product of the year, even if the initial idea is rather interesting. A simple minifigure associated with the effigy for example of Ole Kirk Christiansen would have been enough to transform this award into a truly desirable LEGO product. As it stands, it's still taken for those who had planned to take advantage of the doubling of VIP points on the Shop to afford one of the rare products exclusive to the official online store still in stock. Today we are quickly interested in the content of the set LEGO Marvel Avengers 76237 Sanctuary II: Endgame Battle, a small box of 322 pieces that went unnoticed on the occasion of its launch on October 1 at the public price of 39.99 €. LEGO had not offered copies of "review" and the internet had therefore not been inundated with tests of this product last October.

In short, I think we can immediately associate this product with the universe microfighters If we take into account the scale of Thanos' ship: The construction proposed here will only be truly believable in a diorama of the final battle of the film Avengers: Endgame with a (very) forced perspective. The 36cm wide by 18cm long ship assembly ships in minutes, including decals, and the end product is visually appealing. Despite a somewhat chibi further reinforced when Thanos is in charge and some approximations imposed by the chosen scale, the whole is in my opinion quite faithful to the reference design.

It is above all a toy for children and LEGO is therefore not stingy in Stud Shooters with six copies installed on the hull of the ship, a cockpit that can accommodate Thanos and a cargo bay accessible via the hatch placed at the back. No Chitauris to drop, the hold is only used to store the Infinity glove placed on its support, an element that should have been delivered in its version Dark Red to be truly in line with the context of the product. The ship is also very solid and the tail of the craft eventually almost takes the form of a handle that allows access to the various Stud Shooters at your fingertips.

The set is obviously a welcome extension to the reference 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle (99.99 €) to which it will add some interesting playful possibilities, and the unique Chitauri of the other box can therefore end up in the hold of the vessel.

On the side of the endowment in minifigs, LEGO allows us to obtain a new version of Captain Marvel which takes again the head that the character already shared with Princess Leia. The legs and arms are a little empty and it's a shame, there was not much missing for the figurine to be really successful. The hair of Chandler Bing, Tom Riddle, Cedric Diggory or even Bruce Wayne, delivered here in Tan, seems appropriate to me.

The Iron Man minifigure delivered in this box is identical to that of the sets 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle et 76131 Avengers Compound Battle, hard to blame LEGO which is content to remain consistent with the context of the product. The character benefits from the two-part helmet, replaced in many sets by a unique item that will reappear in the LEGO Marvel set 76203 Iron Man Mech Armor from January 2022. The presence of Iron Man in this box was not essential if we consider it as an extension of the set 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle. But not everyone has the means to accumulate sets and Iron Man is more attractive here than any secondary character.

Thanos reuses his usual helmet, which would have deserved a few pad printed patterns, placed on a new minifig from head to toe that I find rather successful. No alternate face, but this choice allows the minifigure to be used without his helmet. In this form, he logically appears smaller next to his ship than the usual large figure, but he is no longer on the scale of the other characters included. We cannot have everything and we will be satisfied with the very nice pad printing of the armor that LEGO offers us here.

Should we really spend around forty euros for this ship and its three minifigs? Why not, especially if it is to please a young fan of the LEGO Marvel range who already has at least the set 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle on hand and who could thus replay the final battle of the film Avengers: Endgame by having Thanos' ship at his disposal in addition to the Avengers headquarters.

This unpretentious product is aimed at a specific audience, children, and therefore should not be criticized for being just a simple, slightly minimalist toy. This was undoubtedly the desired goal and the possibility of grabbing the ship as a point weapon is a real plus. Minifig collectors who would like to afford the Thanos and Captain Marvel figures delivered in this box will have to do their calculations: the two figures are already exchanged for a little at least a dozen euros each on the secondary market. . Not sure retail buying is really profitable.
