Remember, in 2021, LEGO launched a limited test in the UK which allowed customers to acquire variants of existing products such as the FIAT 500 from the set 10271 Fiat 500 turned blue under the reference 77942 Fiat 500 or two colorful versions of the dinosaurs in the set 31058 Mighty Dinosaurs sold under the references 77940 Mighty Dinosaurs et 77941 Mighty Dinosaurs.
The geographical limitation of the test in the United Kingdom had caused disappointment and it was the exclusivity reserved for the Zavvi brand that had then enabled the most persevering to obtain their copy of the FIAT 500 Bleue.
This test has obviously proved conclusive and the manufacturer is therefore going there this year with two new variants of products already present in the catalog: the exotic parrot is available in two different colors via the sets 31144 Exotic Pink Parrot et 31136 Exotic Parrot and the Bugatti Bolide from the Technic range is available in blue or yellow in the sets 42151 Bugatti Bolide et 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue.
These boxes and their variants are logically sold at the same price, 24.99 € for the parrots and 49.99 € for the two Bugattis and are available without geographical restriction via the official online store.
There you go, if you were wondering why LEGO is offering two parrots and two Bugatti Bolides with the same inventory but different colors, you now know that this is the consequence of the test phase launched in 2021 and that it is not a not just some new marketing fad.
