Brickfilm: LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth

You have all probably seen what is now commonly called a "Brickfilm", that is to say a video made in stop-motion animation (frame by frame) and populated with minifigs and other LEGO vehicles.

But in this area, we find a bit of everything and especially anything. So when we get our hands on a video brilliantly produced by a French AFOL, it's worth talking about.

This video or this "Brickfilm" is exceptional in every way: Its director "musclemusemuseum" has reconstituted almost shot by shot the cinematographic version of the battle of Hoth. 800 hours of work were necessary from the purchase of the sets to the final result.

The footage was shot using a Canon FS100 camcorder, and post-production was done with Adobe After Effects CS5, Particle Illusion 3, Magix Video Deluxe 16 and Terragen software.

For the record, the snow was reproduced using icing sugar and the exteriors are made with images retrieved from Google and processed with After Effects by the director.
