Today we take a quick look at the contents of the LEGO Bricklink Designer Program Series 3 set. 910041 Camping Adventure, a box of 669 pieces available for pre-order from October 8, 2024 at the public price of €49,99 as part of the financing phase of the third series of the reboot du Bricklink Designer Program.

I have deliberately chosen to present to you this product imagined by Joshua Kingma aka KingCreations because in my opinion it embodies the ideal complement to other official sets within the framework of a thematic diorama which would bring together for example the LEGO IDEAS references 21338 A-Frame Cabin (179.99 €) and 21318 Treehouse (€249,99). We can almost consider this creation as a simple, unpretentious but relatively accessible extension that will bring a little context to larger and more emblematic products.

As usual, the version received is a prototype whose instructions are not yet fully finalized and optimized and there were some missing elements in the bags provided. Nothing serious at this stage, we know that these problems will be resolved by the time the set is actually marketed.

The atmosphere is there, the caravan is properly laid out even if the rather restricted interior space leaves little room to install the two figurines provided, the base which accommodates the staging is decorated with vegetation and a few Tiles which give it a bit of relief and the two characters provided do not seem lost in the middle of a presentation which could have been less compact and concise at the risk of appearing a bit empty.

The caravan can possibly be attached to an official vehicle at the cost of a few modifications in order to integrate a hitch into the latter, such as the off-road vehicle from the LEGO Creator set. 40650 Land Rover Classic Defender (14.99 €).

The tree provided brings a bit of volume to the scene, I would have appreciated having alternative foliage in the box to switch everything to a spring version. This is not the case, so we will remain in a very autumnal atmosphere unless we call on our personal stock of parts to change the foliage.

In terms of assembly experience, the most interesting techniques are obviously used for the caravan with some good ideas, particularly in terms of glazing. You will get your money's worth here, no more, no less, with enough on arrival to flesh out a diorama or start fitting out a campsite by reproducing the caravan in several copies and changing the colours used.

Let's be clear right away, don't expect the usual LEGO "experience". These products do not go through the hands of the brand's designers for a proper adaptation to the manufacturer's standards and requirements before they are marketed, LEGO's intervention often being limited to a few cosmetic changes, particularly for reasons related to the availability of the elements initially chosen by the product designer. No stickers in this box.

The marketing of these creations "as is" therefore risks disappointing some who will not find the same well-crafted assembly process as well as the techniques that generally ensure a certain solidity to the constructions offered in the official ranges. Fans of fan creations (MOCs) will be on familiar ground here, they know that fans of the brand sometimes use interesting techniques in terms of design but do not always care about the solidity of the final result.

For those wondering, the girl's torso is the one also seen in a handful of official products including the LEGO IDEAS set. 21338 A-Frame Cabin, the other character's plaid shirt is a very common element at LEGO that is present in more than twenty official sets marketed so far.

The bike in Dark Azure has been present at LEGO since 2023 and is available in products sold under the Friends and Animal Crossing labels. We also get in this box two butterflies available at LEGO since 2023, a copy of the squirrel available since 2022 as well as a red bird.

Note: The product shown here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at October 18th 2024 next at 23:59 p.m. Simply post a comment below the article to participate. Your participation is taken into account regardless of your opinion. Avoid “I’m participating” or “I’m trying my luck”, we suspect that this is the case.

Update : The winner was drawn and notified by email, his nickname is indicated below.

The voting phase of the sixth wave of the Bricklink Designer ProgramEntitled Series 6, with this time 300 proposals in the running which are just waiting for your support to hope to one day become a quasi-official set.

The voting methodology is simple, you just have to show your more or less strong support or your indifference for one or more of the proposals using one of the three available smileys. You have until October 18th to support your favorite creations but keep in mind that this public vote will not be the only one to influence the choice of creations that will go further in the process, "internal" selection criteria will be at work to sort the different most supported proposals before moving on to the crowdfunding phase.

The five selected creations will be announced on November 18, 2024 and the pre-order phase will not begin before October 2025. The sets that gather at least 3000 pre-orders will be produced in 30.000 copies and will be deliverable at best in March 2026. It will therefore be necessary to be very patient and have a credit card with extended validity so that the payment made during the pre-order phase can then be definitively validated at the end of the process and avoid disappointments.

If you want to take part in the selection of the competing projects, it's at this address that it happens. At this stage, your clicks do not commit you, you can go frankly.

The five finalist projects of the reboot du Bricklink Designer Program, entitled Series 3 will finally be available for pre-order starting October 8, 2024 at 17:00 p.m.

As usual, the sets that will gather at least 3000 pre-orders will be produced in 30.000 copies and will go into production in March 2025. We also get the public prices of these five boxes, you now have a little over a month to decide whether to crack and pay the requested sums:

Maximum two copies of the same set per customer, you will have noticed that the inventory of each of these sets has been slightly revised upwards due to the adjustments requested by LEGO from Fan Designers.

The five finalist projects of the fifth wave (Series 5) of the reboot Bricklink Designer Program, were selected from more than 300 proposals in the running following the vote launched last June.

As with each wave, you will have to show a lot of patience if some of these products interest you: the pre-order phase for these five products will not begin before June 3, 2025 and the sets which collect at least 3000 pre-orders will be produced in 30.000 copies and will be available in October 2025. No reissue planned, two sets maximum per household and per reference.

In the meantime, the creators of these different projects will have plenty of time to rework them to make them comply with LEGO requirements, Bricklink indicating that this adaptation phase will last between September 2, 2024 and May 1, 2025.

Instructions for the five products from the first wave of crowdfunding since the reboot of the Bricklink Designer Program are now available for download in PDF format. If it is the assembly of these different creations that interests you more than having the products in your collection, you can now recover the files which will allow you to construct these five proposals. Please note that there are no "official" paper versions of these instructions, even those who have purchased these different sets must go through downloading these files.

Even if you don't plan to get started right away, feel free to download and store the affected files, it's unclear how long Bricklink expects to keep them available and they're not live. on the service which usually allows you to recover the instructions for the official sets.

The instructions will, however, soon be available in digital format in the official LEGO application. The most courageous will perhaps try to have these files printed by an online printing service; several brands offer this type of service, even individually, with a pretty paperback booklet on arrival.

You can click directly on the links below to retrieve the PDF files concerned:

Otherwise, I also host live on Hoth Bricks all the instructions available so far via the links below:
