To accompany the launch of the already controversial UCS set 75098 Assault on Hoth, LEGO has been generous. Many sites, including Hoth Bricks, were offered a copy of the set, just to give maximum visibility to this box.
Le bashing around this box has only just begun and negative reviews (but not too much anyway) will rain: Too expensive (249.99 € in the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores), not really a UCS, compilation of elements already seen and reviewed in the LEGO Star Wars range, very approximate reproduction of the base of the film (The lookout post imported from Yavin, three generators instead of four , etc ...), imbalance of the forces present, not enough AT-AT, another Snowspeeder, no Reikan / Leia, we already know each other's arguments and the final opinion will always be composed of 'a for / against which will allow to delay and kick in touch. After all, it's LEGO that treats everyone and those who will give their opinion in the days to come have not paid a penny: Their "final notice"will necessarily be affected.
Do not let yourself be too influenced by the usual "It was better before", this is not always true especially in the LEGO Star Wars range, and remember that we all have our share of responsibility in the evolution of the content of certain boxes: In many ranges, fans swear by by minifigs, the rest often being seen as props. LEGO takes that into account and throws a Tauntaun, a Wampa and a few rebels in a box with a few walls / trenches around it. And that's the result.
Make no mistake, the best thing that could happen to this box is not to sell as well as LEGO expected. The followers of the speculation will then rub their hands by stocking a few copies that they will come out of the closet in a few years.
The set will have become "vintage" and / or "collector" and it will probably be necessary to pay double the current price to acquire it. You will see that one day this box will tear up on the secondary market, the worst sets in the LEGO Star Wars range are still selling very well on eBay or Bricklink ...
Rather than showering yourself with unnecessary considerations about this set, I will let you make your own opinion by discussing with your conscience and your wallet and I suggest that you try to win a copy.
If you were going to give it to yourself discreetly despite the public outcry, you would save 249.99 €, if you had decided to skip for one reason or another it would be a good opportunity to add it to your collection without having to loose money.
The competition is open exclusively to persons residing in the following countries and territories: Metropolitan France, French overseas departments and territories, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium.
One entry per participant, you have until April 30 at 23:59 p.m. to register.
Everything has been said about the set LEGO Ghostbusters 75827 Firehouse Headquarters : This large box of 4634 pieces sold 389.99 € in the LEGO Shop is a beautiful tribute to the world of films from which it is inspired, it is expensive, the Ecto-1 does not fit into the garage without having to push the furniture, etc ...
Rather than wiggling the knife in the wound, I suggest you try to win a copy with a contest on the usual format.
To participate, it's very simple : You register by email or via social networks on the interface below and your registration for the competition is automatically taken into account. Make sure you use a valid email address when registering ...
You can increase your chances by accumulating participation tickets via the various options and bonuses offered.
The competition is open exclusively to persons residing in the following countries and territories: Metropolitan France, French overseas departments and territories, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium.
Thanks to LEGO ARP (AFOL Relations & Programs) Team for the lot and may the lucky one win!
The prize draw has taken place, the winner has been named and their name is listed below.
For information, this participant only validated 7 tickets over the entire duration of the competition. I remind you that the ticket race only increases your chances, it does not guarantee that the one who has validated the most participation tickets wins for sure.
This contest management system is not ideal, but it is currently the most reliable in terms of detecting the different cheating techniques used by many professional contestants ... It saves me a lot of time in this area and m 'avoid having to make manual reconciliations to sanction cheaters, at the added risk of making mistakes and invalidating legitimate holdings.
Another important detail following the remarks of some participants: Some actions call on social networks such as Facebook or Twitter. I remind you that there is no need to be very active on these two supports to have the right to participate and to benefit from the corresponding tickets. A simple account with the maximum confidentiality even created for the occasion is enough.
I immediately contact the winner by email to obtain their postal address. For information, all the lots are sent by Colissimo with signature on delivery.
See you soon for another contest with a nice big box to win on Hoth Bricks. Who you gonna call ?
The news of the LEGO Marvel and DC Comics ranges is rather calm at the moment, let's take the opportunity to allow one of you to win a copy of the set. 76052 Classic TV Series Batcave worth 289.99 €.
I will not remind you here of everything that this very large box produced in tribute to the cult TV series broadcast in the 60s contains, you will find details on the product sheet of the LEGO Shop.
To participate, it's very simple: All you have to do is identify yourself via the interface below, by email or via various social networks, and collect the participation tickets via the various options offered.
The competition is open exclusively to persons residing in the following countries and territories: Metropolitan France, French overseas departments and territories, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium.
Thanks to LEGO ARP (AFOL Relations & Programs) Team for the lot and may the best win!
You know it since you follow, we are currently talking about the LEGO DC Comics set 76052 Batman Classic TV Series Batcave with the possibility of an imminent announcement of this box for an early sale from February 17 on the LEGO Shop.
I offer you a very simple little game, just to save you some cool stuff if you manage to be a visionary: It is a question of guessing the number of minifigs in this box, the characters who will be present and, in subsidiary question, the number of pieces in the set.
To participate, post a comment with the syntax below:
Number of minifigs: XX Characters included: - XXXXXX - XXXXXX Number of pieces: XXXX |
Please note, only comments posted BEFORE the official announcement of the set or BEFORE any credible leak concerning the contents of the box will be taken into account. Unless announced or leaked by then, the deadline for participation is set at January 11, 2016 at 23:59 p.m.system. (I follow the same forums and sites as you, if there is a leak, it will be known very quickly).
Whoever guesses the exact number of minifigs and the names of the different characters included will receive the above prizes. If several participants have the correct answers, they will be decided by the question relating to the number of pieces in the set. Whoever has indicated the number of pieces closest to the exact content of the set will win. If no one can find the exact number of minifigs and the names of the different characters included, I will advise ;-).
The complete set consists of the following:

Good luck to everyone.
Update of 12 / 01 / 2016 : Following the official announcement of the box, it is therefore Peru who wins. He guessed the 9 minifigs and it is the closest to the exact number of pieces delivered in the set.
