The Avengers 2: Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch by Mike Napolitan

Joss Whedon, director of The Avengers and pilot of the upcoming series Agents of SHIELD has just confirmed that two new characters from the Marvel universe will be in the cast of The Avengers 2, which he will also direct: Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver is a character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who made his first appearance in the X-Men comic in 1964. He has since appeared in some arcs of the Avengers series.

Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch, and incidentally sister of Quicksilver, is also a character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1964.

I hope that their presence on screen in the second installment of the Avengers saga will be enough for LEGO to offer us the minifig version of these two characters in an upcoming set ... The designers of custom minifigs should for their part quickly offer us their version of these two super heroes.

10237 The Tower of Orthanc

It's confirmed, the VIP customers of the LEGO Shop, that is to say all those who kindly took three minutes to create their free vip account, will be able to order the very (very) expected set 10237 The Tower of Orthanc from June 17, 2013 for the modest sum of € 199.99. Yes, it is the public price, but we cannot have the butter and the money of the butter.

The offer will also be valid in the LEGO Stores on presentation of your VIP card or by harassing the staff present.

I remind you of the principle of the VIP program: 1 VIP point credited for 1 € spent on the LEGO Shop or in a LEGO Store, and 100 VIP points entitle you to a reduction of 5 € to be used on a future purchase. To put it simply, the VIP program allows you to benefit from a 5% reduction on the prices charged by LEGO.

LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles

You might as well tell you right away, Michael Price's interview (writer and producer of The Yoda Chronicles mini-saga but also author for The Simpsons, The Padawan Menace and The Empire Strikes Out) published on toonbarn.com does not tell us much new.

Between two evasive responses, we obtain confirmation that the broadcast of the first of the three episodes, entitled The Phantom Clone, will take place on May 29 on the US Cartoon Network channel, that the following two episodes will be broadcast during the year, that a Blu-ray / DVD edition could be released with an exclusive minifigure, but that nothing is is still decided ...

We also learn on Twitter via the account @insidethemagic that the secret (See this article) which is due to be revealed next May 23 in Times Square (New York) and May 29 on Cartoon Network is in fact the largest LEGO model in the world: "... World's largest LEGO model to be displayed in New York's Times Square on May 23 in promotion of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles ..."

The interview is to read at this address.
