LegoDad42 has uploaded photos of the different stages of the Lord of the Rings animation organized in the American LEGO Stores from July 16 to August 5.
Kids can indulge in a sort of store-wide scavenger hunt and enter a raffle to win a set from the LEGO Lord of the Rings range. It all starts with a map that launches the operation, you then have to build a sword from a bulk by reproducing the model presented and go in search of the Uruk-Hai hidden in the store.
After discovering where the Uruk-Hai was hiding, we must find Frodo and the Ring hidden in one of the bins in the brick wall of the store. Once Frodo and his Ring are located, the participant is given a sheet of stickers, and can qualify via a questionnaire to participate in the weekly raffle allowing him to win a set from the LEGO Lord of the Rings range.
Beautiful thematic animation for the youngest, who would deserve to cross the Atlantic and invest in our toy stores. Below are some photos posted by LegoDad42 of the different stages of the quest.
If you are a fan of the LEGO Star Wars range, you already know inside and out this 9516 Jabba's Palace set whose reviews have flooded the web in recent weeks.
You will therefore watch this video review of the master on the subject more for the pleasure of the eyes than to decide to invest your money in this box whose public price of 144.99 € is a little excessive but which can be found at a correct price. by looking a little elsewhere in Europe (99.12 € at amazon.es, and currently in stock).
For others, it's an opportunity to see in detail all the features of this already cult set and to discover in close-up the magnificent minifigs it contains. With as a bonus, at the end of the video, an idea of what is possible to do with the LED kits thatArtifex offers for sale.
More Tumbler, after all it is topical at the moment between the release of the movie The Dark Knight Rises on July 25 and the possibility (or not) that LEGO will release this machine that has become indispensable in an upcoming set inspired by the universe. developed by Christopher Nolan.
This time Calin adapts the Tumbler to a mini format, and it must be admitted that this scale is perfectly suited to this vehicle that has become the icon of the entire Nolan generation.
Special mention for versions camouflage, I hope that LEGO will offer us one in the format System soon with why not a BatWing, also interpreted in mini format by _Tiler.
IF you haven't yet in your favorites since I posted it here, here is the link again to _Tiler's flickr gallery.
At first glance, this board game will probably not revolutionize the genre. But as usual with games of this type at LEGO, it's designed for the youngest, with short, rhythmic games and simple rules (though ....). This is based on the principle of Memory, for those who know.
All we have concrete at the time of this writing is the image above and the description of the game:
The world of The Hobbit comes alive in a whole new way with this fun LEGO Board Game! Build the board yourself, then put your brain to the test to help find the missing dwarves in Hobbiton. In this cool twist on the classic memory game, you'll use clues from beloved characters like Gandalf the Gray and the hobbits of the Shire to figure out the dwarves location.
Includes 1 board game with play tiles, LEGO pieces, and a die
Build the board yourself out of LEGOs
Challenge your memory skills to find the missing dwarves
Imaginatively immerse yourself in the world of The Hobbit
For 2 to 4 players
This reference 2012 is scheduled for release at the end of September 3920, available for pre-order for $ 26 at Toys R Us (USA).
Most of you already know the format "chibi".
For others, it's difficult to define this format, but we can say that the goal is to reproduce something by exaggerating certain proportions, to make it more ... cute. Originally, the word chibi comes from Japan and means in slang something like "little person".
In the manga world this term is used to refer to characters drawn with oversized heads.
Et DarthNick offers us a perfect example of what is possible to achieve in this format with this X-Wing and this Tie Fighter. So we can calmly say: "It's cute..."and that's the goal, without trying to determine if the MOC is faithful to the original model or not.
If you want to see other achievements in this format, flickr is swarming with MOCs in this spirit (click here for many examples of MOCs), FBTB even organized a competition on this theme.
Below is another example with this Chibi AT-AT from MacLane which had also been presented in the competition organized by FBTB.
DarthNick's flickr gallery can be found at this address, MacLane's is nearby.
