LEGO Star Wars - ETA-2 ACTIS Class Light Interceptor by iomedes

There are MOCs that appeal to me, quite simply ... This Jedi Interceptor ETA-2 proposed by iomedes, you know the guy who had started in the reproduction of the Venator Erik Varszegi, has it all.

This is a fairly classic construction with a touch of fantasy especially at the level of the wings and everything is there: the color scheme is interesting, the appearance of this machine has become a classic in the LEGO Star Wars range. is respected, the photo is beautiful ...

So I suggest it to you here, because everything is level, and seeing it, I said to myself that such an OMC deserved to make the homepage of this blog a little more beautiful and attractive.

To see more about the work of iomedes, it's on his flickr gallery that it happens.

LEGO Super Heroes Marvel - 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle

This is the big piece of this wave of LEGO Super Heroes Marvel sets: 735 pieces, 5 minifigs and a Quinjet, the machine that carries the Avengers: The set 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle.

Loki, I'm having a little trouble with his headdress and his scepter which could have been a little more ... not sure what, but a little more. Black Widow, I love this minifigure not necessarily similar to Scarlett but which remains a pretty feminine minifig with well detailed legs. Thor, I have a little trouble with his hair but we'll get used to it, Iron Man, everything has been said a hundred times ...

Note that this video gives pride of place to special effects and that Artifex really let go to animate this review and make it rather fun.

On the Quinjet we will note the use as usual by LEGO of many parts in colors not necessarily matched to the set and which I always wonder what they are doing there: Is it to give reference points to the youngest? during construction? To achieve an economy of scale on certain parts? No one has really gotten any information on this from the manufacturer, although I'm leaning towards the first answer.

The various features of the Quinjet are staged and the drone ejection mechanism is quite successful.

Anyway, take a look and make up your own mind. Me, it's clear, I need this set ....

LEGO Star Wars The Padawan Menace - Fan display at LEGOLand CA Star Wars Days 2012

You know you've seen this contraption before, but hard to remember where ... It's good in the animated short LEGO Star Wars The Padawan Menace broadcast on LUDO (France 3) and which was also released in Blu-ray / DVD what appears this funny space bus piloted by C-3PO and R2-D2.

This sympathetic creation was exhibited like many others during Star Wars Days 2012 at LEGOLAND Park in California. To discover the other models on display, go to the dedicated album in the FBTB flickr gallery.

Batman Tumbler v.2 by _Tiler

I saw some scroll tumbler MOCs, well designed, too fragile, not very similar, etc, etc ... Artifex has promised to evolve the version it sells, some have even made a version with camouflage paint like the one we'll see in The Dark Knight Rises movie ....

But I really have a weakness for _Tiler's Tumbler. The curves are respected, the design is obviously well thought out and a minifigure can get behind the wheel ... He finally decided to put in lines some close-up photos and we are just a few cables away. reproduce it ...

For the record, _Tiler is also at the origin of many customs among those marketed by Christo. And for having had a glimpse of what he is working on in terms of customs, I promise you that he has not finished surprising us ...

6866 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown - Picture from hmillington @ Brickset

For the most impatient and for all those who have not yet seen everything from the Marvel range, many more or less detailed reviews are popping up here and there, it's normal, it's the race ...

So on the menu, a review du 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle by Tereglith on Eurobricks, during which you learn ... not much that you don't already know. The Quinjet is nice, but a little messy for my taste, with a non-retractable landing gear, stickers to the shovel, a well-appointed cockpit, it comes with a drone from the SHIELD which we will certainly discover the interest in the movie, and the storage space on the Quinjet cannot accommodate Captain America's motorcycle or the Hulk minifigure.

The Joker1, another Eurobricks member, offers a review of the set 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape. Another minifigure of Loki, also present in the 6869, a vehicle that will delight those who like to play with their LEGOs, the others will have an extra 4x4 on their shelf, Hawkeye is a successful minifig, it is possible to eject Loki from the back of the truck and the cosmic cube is a part transparent ....

jammiedodger also posted a review why 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape.

With much better photos, Huw Millington of Brickset also goes there for his mini-reviews. Less talk, more quality images: 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle6866 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown6865 Captain America's Avenging Cycle6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape.
