Cover for BrickJournal # 20 by LEGOmaniac

The story begins in November 2011.  I was talking to you then of the contest organized by Joe Meno, publisher of BrickJournal magazine, and which promised a full page publication of issue 20 of the winning MOC on the theme of superheroes.

LEGOmaniac took a chance, and we talked about it: their MOC at least deserved to be submitted in this competition, whatever the outcome. Although it took him, his MOC was chosen by Joe Meno to be published in the magazine, but also to cover this issue which will be entirely dedicated to the super hero.

And it is an event, BrickJournal is a support in English little known in France because of lack of distribution, but which is the only generalist magazine intended for AFOLs.

When we talk about MOCs on the theme of super heroes, LEGOmaniac knows the file ... He has participated in several competitions on this theme that have taken place in recent months by proposing dioramas et cars which have all been noticed and widely commented on. But he also and above all proposed an original creation which I had particularly enjoyed: his version of one more rainy evening in Gotham City and of Batman answering the call of Batsignal and preparing to fight once again against the crime that is plaguing the city.

On the basis of this scene, he developed his concept, with rigor, to obtain the result which has now earned him the well-deserved honors of BrickJournal.
I'm not just the grumpy type that we sometimes want to describe, I also have respect for all those, and there are more and more of them, who make their contribution to make the French community a full member. from the world of creative AFOLs capable of offering quality projects.

And for successfully making the cover of BrickJournal, LEGOmaniac deserves you to take the time to discover his work on blog ou his flickr gallery (click on the image).

9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor by Artifex

Artifex continues with its video reviews, the type is indestructible and the quality is always there. This time it's the 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor set (42.99 € at Amazon) which goes through the stop-motion top-rope. I have no precise idea of the time spent by Artifex for each review, but I will still ask him the question out of curiosity.

Batmobile 2025: the version of Peteris Sprogis

Also as part of the competition organized by LUG Nuts and titled Batmobile 2025, it is the turn of Peteris Sprogis to present his machine. Futuristic but not too much, this vehicle displays an obvious link with the Tumbler from which it could be a logical evolution. To discover on the flickr gallery of the gentleman, or on his gallery MOCpages.

Also take the opportunity to discover the different versions of the South Korean Tumbler stick_kim in his flickr gallery.

Nuremberg Toy Fair: LEGO Lord of the Rings 2012

This will undoubtedly be one of the only photos of this Toy Fair currently being held in Nuremberg, Germany with these maxifigs of Frodo and Samwise. I intentionally cut the guy on the left present on the original photo seen on the FBTB flickr, he may not want to be found everywhere on the internet ...

In the background, we see Shelob, the giant spider seen in the third film of the cinematographic saga directed by Peter Jackson and which will be delivered in the 9470 Shelob Attacks set with 3 minifigs: Frodo, Samwise & Gollum.
