In 2019, the LEGO Star Wars range turns 20

This year, the LEGO Star Wars range celebrates its 20th anniversary, as indicated by the teaser present in some versions of the new official catalog for the first half of 2019, and we already know that LEGO has planned a few boxes to mark the occasion.

These sets (ref. 75258 to 75262) ​​will pay homage to some classics of the range such as for example the Anakin's Podracer set 7131 marketed in 1999 which will return according to the latest rumors under the reference 75258.

If we compare the number of pieces in the two boxes, it should be more about updated reinterpretations of the content of the sets concerned than simple reissues (279 pieces for the set 75258 (2019) against 136 pieces for the version of 1999).

In fact, not much else is known about the five sets planned except that some of them could be exclusives limited to two brands in the USA (Walmart and Target). I think in any case amazon will sell these boxes in Europe. Five of them are already listed at Amazon Italy: 75243, 75258, 75259, 75261, 75262.

Don't expect a big party on the 20th anniversary, we saw it in 2018 with the 60th anniversary of the brick and the 40th anniversary of the minifigure, birthdays and gifts are not the specialty of LEGO ... You will probably have to make do with a polybag or two offered under purchase conditions.
