The launch of the LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham video game, expected in late November, has nothing to send to its equivalent Marvel version released last year: exclusive Minifig, relentless promotion on social networks, and now the variant covers (Different covers for the same magazine or comic issue).
Here are all the visuals made public that will respectively dress different comics scheduled for November 2014.
These images are available in high resolution at my flickr gallery.
Every day has its share of Variant Covers surge on the various blogs or sites dedicated to the world of comics or the world of LEGO.
Rather than harass you with these images which ultimately do not concern us directly (These alternative versions of comics are not available at our usual bookstores), I have gathered all this for you in an album of my flickr gallery as well as on top Brick Heroes facebook page.
For those who are interested, I have just added the definitive covers of some comics scheduled for October and their version "early sketch"It's graphically very successful and it's always a pleasure to see some great designers lend themselves to the exercise of reproducing minifigs of superheroes.
Just to pass the time, here are three news variant covers LEGO-style comics that will be released in September: Thor which will be on the cover of Avengers # 21, Loki which will appear on Thor: God of Thunder # 14 and Iron Man which will make the front page of Avengers AI # 4.
If you follow the blog, you know that LEGO and Marvel are currently working to create a buzz around the upcoming release of the highly anticipated LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game (See these other articles).
Regularly, Marvel reveals some of the "Variant Covers"which will dress up some comics to be released in September.
Here are two new creations by Leonel Castellani with a tribute to Steve Ditko's Spider-Man who will occupy the cover page of the next Mighty Avengers # 1 as well as a tribute to the work of Jim Lee who will dress the comic Uncanny Avengers # 12.
If you follow Brick Heroes facebook page, you have already been able to discover the visuals below. These are variant covers (different covers for the same magazine or comic issue) of Marvel comics revisited in LEGO sauce to celebrate the upcoming launch of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game.
On the menu, Marvel Universe Avengers Assemble # 1 (Falcon !! ...), Wolverine & The X-Men # 36, All-New X-Men # 17, Amazing Spider-Man # 546 and Nova # 6.
