LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz 41627 Luke & Yoda

LEGO has just unveiled three new references from the BrickHeadz range with four iconic characters from the Star Wars saga.

The Duo Pack 41627 (14.99 € - 215 pieces) will allow you to assemble Yoda and Luke Skywalker and the two other sets (9.99 €) will offer collectors the minifigures of Leia (ref. LEGO 41628 - 124 pieces) and Boba Fett (ref. LEGO 41629 - 161 pieces).

Note that the Boba Fett minifigure is different from the one seen in the exclusive pack (LEGO ref. 41498 sold) during the latest New York Comic Con.

I pass on the three classic characters, but I must admit that this little Yoda tempts me well ...

LEGO Star Wars 2014: MicroFighters

The New MicroFighters range announced by LEGO and intended to "recruit" new collectors if we are to believe the marketing description seen in the retail catalog (hence the erroneous name of range "Recruitment"indicated a few days ago by various sources) is clearly the fruit of several years' work: The concept of the vessel in" Chibi "format accompanied by a minifigure has already been tested through no less than four sets sold during various conventions (Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration) in 2012 and 2013.

I come to the heart of the matter: These four exclusive mini-sets are indeed similar products to those of the upcoming MicroFighters range. They are based on the same concept and respect all the codes (Format, presence of a minifigure) of the new products announced.

Will they be reissued one day? Nothing is less sure. Yet a Landspeeder or a Slave I are such obvious symbols of the Star Wars universe that there is obviously a possibility that the MicroFighters line will incorporate them, perhaps in a second wave of mini-sets. It is also necessary that the sales figures encourage LEGO to perpetuate the range beyond a year ... The disappearance, premature for my taste, of the range Planets Disappoints me a bit: However, there were still many possibilities to expand it.

A collector who never compromises will therefore have to add these four exclusive "MicroFighters", and perhaps even five with a possible box sold at the next New York Comic Con, to those who will invade the shelves of stores as soon as possible. at the end of 2013. In any case, the rare copies still available for sale will probably see their prices soar, the time that everyone makes the link between the MicroFighters and these exclusive boxes.

MicroFighters:
75028 Clone Turbo Tank delivered with a Clone Trooper
75029 AAT delivered with a Pilot Battle Droid
75030 Millennium Falcon delivered with Han Solo
75031 Tie Interceptor delivered with a Tie Fighter pilot
75032 X-Wing Fighter delivered with an X-Wing pilot
75033 Star Destroyer delivered with an Empire Soldier

Celebration & Comic Con Exclusive:
SDCC 2012
Darth Maul's Mini Sith Infiltrator
NYCC 2012 - Luke Skywalker's Mini Landpseeder
Celebration VI 2012 - Boba Fett Mini Slave I
SDCC 2013 - JEK-14 Mini Stealth Starfighter
NYCC 2013 -?

These exclusive sets sold at the LEGO stand for the modest sum of $ 40 are usually resold for more than double their purchase price on eBay in the days / weeks after they go on sale. Then they get harder to find. Clicking on the names of these sets in the list above will take you directly to the eBay search results pages for each of these products.

Small usual clarification: The visual illustrating this article is a homemade DIY and not an official visual. If you find it elsewhere with a comment like "Official pic!"is that whoever got it here didn't read this text to the end ...

Comic Con 2013 & Celebration Europe II: What will be the exclusive LEGO products?

Let's get over the main problem right away: Yes, these collectors souvenirs distributed by LEGO at various events are too exclusive to be affordable. They obviously generate pleasure for all those who can get them on the spot or offer them via the Internet and frustration among “complete” collectors who must resolve to ignore a product that will be eternally missing from their inventory.

That being said, what will be the exclusive products that LEGO will distribute or sell during the next San Diego Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration Europe II? Nothing has filtered out yet. As every year, the exclusive LEGO products that will be offered do not appear in the various lists published on the respective sites of the events concerned. These lists only indicate the products that will be marketed on site by the various exhibitors. The one for San Diego Comic Con is at this address, that of Celebration Europe II at this address.

We shouldn't be too long to be fixed, however, and I hope the 2013 vintage won't be as expensive and / or frustrating as the 2012 one: The four minifigs (Shazam, Bizarro, Black spidey et Phoenix) 1000 copies printed and distributed at San Diego Comic Con 2012 have convinced many collectors, especially Europeans, that LEGO had the ability to offer us something other than an umpteenth version of Batman, but that the manufacturer was not doing necessarily case of the general craze for superhero minifigs by making some of them (too) exclusive.

On the other hand, the mini-series of tin cans on the LEGO Star Wars theme sold for $ 40 and already available in three sets, each printed at 1000 copies (Darth Maul and his Sith Infiltrator sold at San Diego Comic Con 2012, Luke and his Landspeeder sold at New York Comic Con 2012, and finally Boba Fett and his mini Slave I sold during Celebration VI also in 2012) is in my opinion an initiative that fits perfectly with the mission that these collectors memories must fulfill.

I hope that LEGO will continue to offer us this range of boxes this year with one or two different sets. The potential is enormous, the principle is nice, the collector's side is obvious and the content is exclusive "but not too much". Celebration Europe II is a perfect opportunity to add a fourth box to this mini-range.

When it comes to superhero minifigs, I'm more reserved: Four minifigs for a single event is too much: Trying to buy them at a fair price on eBay in the days following their availability is an arduous quest even if the pleasure finding them for a reasonable budget compensates for the necessary efforts (physical and financial).

One or two exclusive minifigs, Iron Patriot for example, as was the case in 2011 with Batman (SDCC & NYCC 2011), Green Lantern (SDCC & NYCC 2011) and Superman (NYCC 2011 - Which incidentally only remained exclusive for a few weeks) would be more than enough to satisfy everyone: Those who are there would have their collector's souvenir, those who have to buy them on eBay would spend less and those who could not. getting them would be a little less frustrated ...

In any case, I am already preparing for the hunt for collector souvenirs. Regarding San Diego Comic Con, my fingers crossed because I'm going to have to go through eBay. I will be at Celebration Europe II at the end of July in the company of Omar Ovalle in particular and even if nothing has been confirmed for the moment, I already know that it will be necessary to cunning to reach the LEGO stand before the daily quota of exclusive products ... We can always assume that Yoda's minifigure seen during the various launch operations of The Yoda Chronicles saga will be there, as will the polybag of the Clone Trooper Lieutenant already distributed during Star Wars Days in California, even if LEGO will undoubtedly celebrate the event with a new product ...

New York Comic Con 2012: Exclusive LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker's Mini Landpseeder

Back from New York Comic Con after a busy afternoon. Obviously, we had to take a ticket and stand in line to get the exclusive set LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker's Mini Landpseeder sold for $ 39.99 or $ 43.54 with local tax.

250 boxes were distributed today and it will be the same in the next three days with the rule of first come, first served. As much to say to you that it is the crush and that the queue stretches inexorably until exhaustion of the tickets of the day.

Can't get more than one box per person, believe me I tried ...

I post here the photos taken at the moment of the contents of this set. Sorry for the background, I did this in a hurry on the bed in my hotel room. A few interesting pieces in the set's inventory and the result is quite nice. I have other photos that I would put in the gallery dedicated to NYCC 2012.
