Two Fun Packs (References 71233 & 71241), which will allow you to play with the included characters (Slimer, Stay Puft) and objects (Slimer Shooter, Terror Dog), are also on the program.

lego dimensions star wars nooooooooo

All the rumors are not of the same barrel and most of them are to be taken with very big tweezers. However, today we are talking about a hypothetical entry of the Star Wars universe into the already very heterogeneous one of LEGO Dimensions.

Whoever mentions this possibility on Eurobricks is generally very knowledgeable and I am inclined to give him credit on this new rumor: The information he may have provided in the past was clearly first hand and has often been proven to be correct.

We are therefore talking about the arrival of expansion packs based on the Star Wars universe for the game at the end of 2016, the beginning of 2017. In the meantime, this is the other concept. Toys-To-Life at the moment, Disney Infinity, which retains the exclusivity of the license.

A few weeks ago, however, it was an important guy at Disney, John Vignocchi (Vice President of Disney Interactive Studios) who kicked in and implied that Star Wars would never set foot in LEGO Dimensions (See this article).

If this new rumor proves to be true, and it will still take a few months for us to obtain a more official confirmation, it will confirm that the adage is indeed true: You must never say never.

PS: I repeat once again for those who still would not have understood that the visual above is a homemade DIY made by myself which has nothing official contrary to what I have already read here or there .... ;-)

LEGO Dimensions 71238 Doctor Who Fun Pack

Fans of Doctor Who and LEGO video games will be happy to hear that a Fun pack (71238 - € 14.99) containing a cyberman and a mini Dalek will join in January 2016 the Level Pack (71204 - € 29.99) already announced for the end of the year containing a TARDIS, K-9 and the minifig of the Doctor current embodied on the screen by Peter Capaldi.

Below is an introductory video that will give you a first look at the implementation of the British TV series universe in the LEGO Dimensions concept. It will be possible to embody the 12 Doctors who have succeeded so far over the seasons of the TV series.

Note that the set LEGO Ideas 21304 Doctor Who has yet to be officially unveiled by LEGO.

As a result, the minifigs provided in the two LEGO Dimensions packs are for the moment exclusive pending the announcement of the contents of the eagerly awaited LEGO Ideas box.

E3 obliges, we obviously talk a lot about the LEGO Dimensions game these days.

The info of the day is this first visual of Peter Venkman's minifig which will be provided in an expansion pack based on the Ghostbusters license.

The minifigure, top right in the photo above, is different from the one delivered in the set LEGO Ideas 21108 : The hair is more faithful to that of actor Bill Murray and this new minifigure has (finally) a pad printing of the franchise logo on the right arm and a pocket on the left arm.

If you follow you know that we did not wait that LEGO decides to equip our minifigs of set 21108 with pad-printed arms, but that's good news.

It is still unclear whether this minifigure will be delivered on its own in a Fun Pack or accompanied by other characters in a Team Pack or Level Pack.

Below, the minifig in action in one of the levels of the game (see the video at IGN).

lego dimensions star wars nooooooooo

We've all thought about it: What if the Star Wars license ever made its way into the LEGO Dimensions concept with a few neat expansion packs containing various minifigs and other micro-scale ships?

John Vignocchi, one of the vice presidents of Disney Interactive Studios who answered to IGN's questions showered in a few words the hopes of all those who wanted to believe in it: "Don't count on it"[Don't count on it].

In short, the integration of content from the Star Wars license into the LEGO Dimensions universe would work on the beds of the other concept. Toys-To-Life of the moment that benefits him from the presence of Jedi and other Bounty Hunters : Disney Infinity.

John Vignocchi adds that the rights holders are not necessarily fans of the mixture of franchises and that on this aspect, Disney Infinity corresponds better to their expectations.

However, keep in mind that in the world of video games, everything changes very quickly. If LEGO Dimensions were to survive Disney Infinity, I therefore do not exclude the possibility that Disney will change its mind one day, any channel for selling products and generating cash being good to take.

Never say never.

Note for those who did not understand: The montage in illustration is a pure invention on my part. This visual is not official.
