Since the publication of the pages dedicated to the LEGO Star Wars 2014 range of the retailer catalog, discussions have been rife about the new blasters that will be delivered in the two planned Battle Packs and probably in future boxes:
75034 Death Star Troopers with 2 x Royal Guards & 2 x Death Star Gunners
75035 Kashyyyk Troopers with 2 x Kashyyyk Clone Troopers & 2 x 41st Elite Corps Troopers
The arrival of these new weapons is also particularly highlighted in the catalog pages with the mention "New Blaster included"and the characters are staged in the process"to water"their opponents.
And for good reason, these new weapons have a particularity: They are able to fire small projectiles in the form of Round Plates 1x1 using an ejection mechanism located on the top of the barrel and operable with the fingertip.
LEGO clearly emphasizes the playability provided by these new blasters, which will be available in gray and black and which will replace the classic weapons of the range in these two Battle Packs. has-been, the megaphone equipped with a Round Plate ... The generic blasters, more recent, also give way to these new flat launcher that kids will no doubt love and collectors will hate.
The other sets do not seem affected by this change of weapon: The Battle Droids present on the visual of the set 75043 AT-AP are equipped with the usual blasters, the Barc Trooper of the set 75037 Battle on Saleucami also, just like the characters delivered with the mini-ships of the range MicroFighters. From there to conclude that LEGO wants to test the reaction of its customers to this new playful attribute, there is only one step.
Realism, if we consider that it is possible to use this word, therefore leaves room for interaction. All those who waited impatiently for LEGO to renew the arsenal of the Star Wars range with weapons more similar to those seen in the films of the saga are therefore at their expense.
All those who are afraid of running out of classic blowtorches for their minifigs can get their supplies on eBay ou amazon.
And you, what do you think of these new functional Blasters? Disappointed or enthusiastic? I await your impressions ...
