It's gone for five days of Grand Opening at the LEGO Store in Disney Village, where preparations are well underway (start of the festivities at 12 p.m.) with some gifts for those who will spend their money there, and even an additional gift for the recipients of the invitation who will be among the first 00 to show up on site (Polybag Legends of Chima 30250 Ewar's Acro Fighter).

The list of gifts, different every day until April 6:

Today 2th April : The LEGO Creator polybag 40079 Mini VW T1 Camper Van will be offered for any purchase of at least 55 €.

Le 3th April : The polybag 5001621 with Han Solo's minifig in Hoth outfit will be free for any purchase of at least 40 €.

Le 4th April : A exclusive lego store t-shirt will be offered for any purchase of at least 40 €.

Le 5th April : The exclusive set 3300003 LEGO Brand Store will be offered for any purchase of at least 55 €.

Le 6th April : The polybag 5001622 LEGO Store Employee will be offered for any purchase of at least 40 €.

A little message for all Quebec readers of the blog that I would like to thank for their loyalty, just to let them know that the brand new LEGO Store in the shopping center Carrefour Laval has opened its doors and that the polybag 5002126 containing the Martian Manhunter minifig is currently available there with any purchase up to CAD 75.

The "Grand Opening"will take place later.

A second LEGO Store will soon open its doors in Pointe-Claire in mid-April.

All of our recent discussions about the LEGO Stores reminded me of the video below, broadcast in early February in the USA on the Ellen de Generes show: We see Kevin the seller (an accomplice actor) serving his customers with a lot (too much) goodwill ...

This is obviously a hidden camera, and the result is quite nice.

I did not want to believe it and yet it is the case: The prices practiced in the LEGO Store of the Disney Village are well increased by 10% compared to the public prices practiced in the other shops of the brand and on the Lego shop...

In any case, this is confirmed by the first feedback from visitors to this Store (view comments) which boasts of being the largest in Europe and therefore the most expensive in France ...

Some concrete examples: The set 71006 The Simpsons House displays a price of € 219.99 against € 199.99 in other LEGO Stores and on the LEGO Shop, the set 7965 Millennium Falcon is 170.49 € against 154.99 € and the price of the set 10228 Haunted Houses goes to 198.00 € against 179.99 € ...

LEGO, no doubt in agreement with Disney, has therefore chosen to take its customers for hams rather than maintaining the consistency of its pricing policy.

It is his choice. Customers will do theirs ...
