Many of you have written to me to inform me of two upcoming openings: The LEGO Workshop in the aisles of the Avaricum shopping center in Bourges (18) and a new LEGO Store in Saint-Laurent-du-Var (06) in the enclosure of the Cap 3000 shopping center (photo above).
I can even add the next opening of a LEGO Certified Store in Dijon (21) which will be managed by the company Percassi already in charge of similar stores in Italy and Spain and who is currently looking for a Store Manager for this new sales area.
Some details: the LEGO Workshops are temporary concept stores set up by the company Epicure Studio, a design and event consulting agency under contract with LEGO France. They probably have the value of a full-scale test to assess the interest of subsequently setting up a permanent sales space, franchised or not.
The one in Saint-Laurent-du-Var should close its doors at the end of the year to make way for a definitive official store.
The LEGO Workshop in Bourges should remain open until 2020 according to the announcement relayed by several regional media (France 3, France Bleu). It is not yet known whether this temporary concept store will then be replaced by a permanent store, franchised or not.
(Thanks to Anthony, Patrice and all those who relayed this information to me)
Those who regularly visit Spain will now have an additional reason to make a detour to Madrid: The country's first LEGO Certified Store opens there on November 22.
The store will be located in the La Vaguada shopping center (36 avenue de Monforte de Lemos). It will be inaugurated by Niels Jørgensen, vice-president for France and the Iberian zone. If you go there, you can possibly try to ask him where the next French LEGO Store will be (if there is one planned ...).
By referring to the Spanish version of the LEGO Shop, we see that the prices in Spain are substantially identical to the prices displayed in France, with a few euros up or down on certain references.
