LEGO Dimensions 5th Wave

The circle has come full circle: The last three expansion packs for the LEGO Dimensions video game will hit shelves on May 13. It's three Fun Packs (€14.99), comprising a character and a vehicle / item for use in the game: 71239 Ninjago Lloyd Fun Pack, 71240 DC Comics Bane Fun Pack et 71241 Ghostbusters Slimer Fun Pack.

With the sale of these three packs, it is therefore the first life cycle of the game that comes to an end. Warner took advantage of the launch of these three packs to announce that a new series of expansions will be unveiled soon:

These Fun Packs round out the first five waves of LEGO Dimensions expansion packs, with many new expansion packs based on more of the world's biggest entertainment brands to be revealed soon.

The LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack will remain the entry point for a gaming system of play that will offer continued compatibility - everything bought today and expansions added tomorrow will continue to work together. No compatibility chart necessary!

For its part, Disney has just announced the end of the concept Toys-to-Life Disney Infinity with the final marketing in June of two new extensions based on the films Alice Through the Looking Glass et Finding Dory.

The little LEGO world is already getting carried away following this announcement and sees characters from the Star Wars universe join the LEGO Dimensions platform. It's going a bit fast in the process, no announcement has yet been made in this direction and the only official statement on this subject indicates that this will never be the case.

However, with the end of Disney Infinity, the game changes and the cards are likely to be redistributed in the near future. We will soon know if the Disney licenses will include LEGO Dimensions one day.

As for the rumors about the licenses that could integrate LEGO Dimensions, everything goes with the arrival of Sonic, Harry Potter or Fantastic Beats packs, but again no official announcement has taken place to date and it will probably be necessary to wait E3, the international video game trade fair that will take place from June 14 to 16, for more information on the future of LEGO Dimensions.
