LEGO now confirms the rumor that has been circulating for several days: the LEGO Ideas sets 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V. (2017 - 119.99 €) and 21313 Ship in a Bottle (2018 - 69.99 €) will soon be released under new references (92176 for Saturn V and 92177 for the bottle).
Below, the brief comment from the LEGO Ideas team which confirms the reissue of these two sets removed from the LEGO catalog and mentions that the commissioning contract for fan designers (1% of the amount of sales made) remains active despite the change in reference:
The two sets are being re-launched due to popular demand, and as they had already left the market, we could not keep the original numbers. The agreements with the Fan Designers remain unchanged. Also: one of the new set numbers matches a fan designer's birthday. They were both very involved in the process. |
At this stage, we therefore simply know that the reference assigned to each of these two boxes changes for logistical considerations, but we do not yet know if the inventory of these two sets will be modified or if they will emerge identically.
