LEGO today announces the launch of a test phase of the all-new Bricklink Designer Program, an initiative that will at least temporarily replace theAFOL Designer Program created in 2018. The objective: to give a second chance to some of the projects which had in the past reached 10.000 supporters on the LEGO Ideas platform and which had then been rejected during the review phase.
This new version of the program will only be accessible by invitation and it is therefore LEGO that will select the projects that will be eligible for the second chance offered. Projects which are based on an external license will be automatically disqualified.
If this new variation of Designer Program is modeled on that of 2018, it will certainly be necessary to commit to buying one of the "drafted" sets and it is the number of pre-orders that will determine whether the product will actually be put on sale or not.
We do not know much more for the moment on the operation of the operation or on the packaging of the products that will come out. Knowing that LEGO has acquired the Bricklink platform in 2019, there may be a chance that the manufacturer's logo will be on the boxes of these products, a detail that may seem insignificant to some of you but which will reassure the most discerning collectors who only want products really "official" on their shelves.
Case to follow.
Good news for anyone who spent € 349.99 to buy the LEGO Ideas set. 21323 Grand Piano : Lego announces having updated the Powered Up application which is used to "play" with this product by adding dozens of classic songs to listen to composed by Ravel, Schumann, Mozart, Satie or even Chopin and four "playable" audio tracks by pressing any key piano including the great classic "Brother Jacques".
The app update also adds three new play modes: looping the same title, playing all tracks in order, or playing the playlist in shuffle mode.
This update of the application obviously does not change the initial concept and this very pretty model does not really gain in interactivity, the sound being broadcast by the smartphone that hosts the application. Too bad that LEGO did not take advantage of this update which takes place just before the holiday season to add a piano version of the title of Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas is You"...
Today we are talking about a product that we had almost forgotten and which will finally resurface in 2021: the set LEGO Ideas 40448 Vintage Car makes its first appearance in a technical document related to the importation of LEGO products in certain countries with a visual a little blurry but sufficiently legible to understand that it is indeed the LEGO interpretation of the Aedelsten Deluxe which won the competition organized on the LEGO Ideas platform in December 2019.
The "official" version of the product seems very close to the winning model of the competition (visual above) and we will find in the box the two characters seen in the vehicle designed by Petrified.
The product in question will soon be offered by LEGO on condition of purchase, but it is not yet known when and for how much.
Note that other visuals of products to come in 2021 are also available in various certification documents posted by LEGO, I have listed these references for you on Pricevortex at this address for different small sets : 40417 Year of the Ox, 40460 Roses, 40461 Tulips, 40468 Yellow Taxi et 40469 Tuk-Tuk, and at this address for new BrickHeadz references 40440 German Shepherd, 40441 Shorthair Cats et 40462 Valentine's Brown Bear.
The visuals available are of very poor quality for the moment, but we will talk about these boxes in more detail when they are officially announced or in future "Review ".

This is a reissue that was officially announced by LEGO, it is finally effective: The LEGO Ideas set 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V. is now taking over from the reference 21309 on the official online store and at the same retail price of € 119.99 in France, € 129.99 in Belgium and CHF 149.00 in Switzerland.
In the box, you will still find 1969 pieces, with a reference to the date of July 20, 1969, and it is indeed an identical reissue of the other reference launched in June 2017. There is only the box that changes, it will undoubtedly be sufficient for some "complete" collectors.
